I must say... I'm more than disappointed and definitely am not wanting to come back to this specific location.
I have the McDonald's app and I use the coupons (when the app just so happens to actually work...)
I had a coupon that said if I purchased a breakfast sandwich, then I got a free order of hotcakes.
At the drive thru, the employer Hazel explained the coupon wasn't working and Hazel was having an "oh well, you're SOL" attitude about it. I said I wanted a manager. The "manager" came over. Hazel started to explain to this "manager" my problem IN SPANISH WHICH I DO NOT SPEAK so I have no idea what is being said. This is going on directly in front of me. I asked that they have the conversation regarding my problem where I can understand what is being said. They rudely continued their conversation regarding my problem in spanish. The "manager" then told me the same thing - oh well the coupon isnt working. They continued to speak to each other in spanish right in front of me about the problem when I have already expressed how I felt this was very rude and not really correct. They speak English well enough to work the drive thru daily or "manage" a fast food establishment.
I do come here very often (probably too often lol) for breakfast for my husband, so the way this all went down was very unfortunate and really just not ok. The mcdonalds app works maybe 20% of the time. It's no secret that it sucks. i frequently have to uninstall it, then reinstall it. The other times I can actually get the app to open, the coupons are not working correctly for the worker. I always have to show the employee the code for the coupon and the problem is always resolved. The the discount is always honored without issue. I have never encountered this sort of poor service here, or at any McDonald's for that matter.
I do not know what came over that girl Hazel and who hired the "manager" who really was useless to me and probably one of the rudest encounters I have ever had with anyone at a drove thru.
In the end... after wasting almost 10 minutes, be aggravated, disrespected, and treated so poorly, a very nice woman came over who appeared to also be a manager. I can never remember her name, I'm sorry. I explained the entire issue and she turned and told both Hazel and the "manager" that the coupon was valid and simply applied it. This all could have been avoided if this was just done at the very beginning.
I have sent a letter to the corporate office due to how horrible this experience was. Simply did not have to happen. Seems like some people need training in how to NOT treat people and how to conduct themselves in a respectful manner when working in an environment where they work with customers face to face. If they can't help but be rude and disrespectful, or if they hate working there that much that they are miserable, then maybe it's time to find another job opportunity that doesn't involve other human beings....
Read moreThis is by far the slowest McDonald's I ever been to in my life. There are two McDonald's that are close to my house, one is great and the other one sucks. This one I went to several times only because it was on my way and every time I've been there I've had to wait for my food. Today I had to wait 7 minutes for two cheeseburgers. Now I know 7 Minutes doesn't sound like a long time but it is when you're waiting for "fast food." And how long does it take to cook two hamburgers? They're thin as paper so it shouldn't take more than a couple of minutes. Imagine having to wait at a traffic light for 7 minutes. You would go insane. And the morning crew is worse than the afternoon crew. I went in there one morning and I noticed that there was 2 cars at the drive-thru and the person taking the orders was taking one order at a time serving the person and then taking the next order. That's not the way it's done. The manager needs to step up and do something about this. That particular morning I was on the drive-thru line for about 12 minutes. Also a long time when you're waiting for fast food. And with only two cars in front of me it never should have taken that long. And every time I order an iced tea it is never cold. The ice is completely melted and sometimes it...
Read moreThe manager here really isn't doing his job and has no idea of how to deal with customers who have had a problem! My friend picked up a large sweet tea with no ice for me, and he did it two days in a row. On BOTH DAYS, I received something that was only slightly brown colored water! This was after my friend asked the person at the drive-up window to test the sweet tea (on the second day) all he did was look into the container that they were serving it out of, and he said that it was okay. You can see right through this; it is not even iced tea! When I called to speak to the manager, I got an answering machine! A little while later, I called back and got a manager whose name was Mark or Mike, and he seemed clueless. He said that the next time my friend or I came in for sweet tea, he would make sure that the machine was okay and that the sweet tea was alright. When I questioned him about replacing the two sweet teas that were no good, he said something like "oh yeah I guess we could do something about that". At that point he just stopped talking, so I hung up. I guess I will have to call the corporate office to get some satisfaction, not that anybody at that location would...
