I can't say enough great things about this bakery—it's been my family's go-to since I was a little girl! The chocolate sprinkle ring cake has been a staple at every special occasion in my life, and they have sooo many goodies to enjoy. Even though I moved to California years ago, I make it a point to stop by every time I'm back in NY to pick up my favorite treats.

Mike the baker is amazing! I recently called to order more of my favorite gluten-free chocolate chip cookies and the sprinkle cake, and he took the time to personally call me back to discuss my order. For the 1st time, because I wanted to find a new go-to establishment, and I read other reviewer comments, I went to Merritt Bakery yesterday after pre-ordering 2 dozen cannolis for a Super Bowl Sunday gathering. First off, I was greeted by the apparent owner (s) who were friendly & courteous, as if I was a repeated/returning customer and a familiar face. We ordered a gift basket of cupcakes and cookies to be delivered to a friend in Massapequa for her 95th birthday. We are in Brisbane, Australia and tried a number of bakeries in the New York area and nobody could deliver. We emailed Mike and he wrote back right away and said he could definitely do it. We followed up with a phone call and got a wonderful basket personally delivered by Mike. He made the experience so easy and emailed me when delivered.
