Merritt Delicatessen Inc — Restaurant in Town of Oyster Bay

I was charged over $8 dollars for this! Even if it had an appropriate amount of bacon (this is four slices of bacon) for a BLT, it had FIVE Layers of tomato. I could have made whole other sandwich with the amount of lettuce and tomato I took off the sandwich to make it somewhat proportional, and still have extra tomatoes. It also took longer than one would expect, especially since my sandwich was the only order at the time.. It was wrapped so nicely, and with the time spent on it, it looked like it had the perfect BLT w/cheddar cheese inside. I rarely ever "treat myself" to anything, today was my first day off of work in 23 days and I was craving and looking forward to this sammie like it was my last meal. First and LAST time I'll ever go there for any kind...

I can’t thank Craig and his staff from Merritt deli enough for the incredible job they did providing the food for Angelo’s celebration of life. The food was absolutely delicious, and they were spot on with the amount — everything was perfect. Not only did they take great care in the preparation, but their kindness and attention to detail made such a difference during a very difficult time for our family. I’m beyond grateful for their support and would highly recommend them to anyone in need of quality, heartfelt service. You truly went above and beyond, and we’re so thankful for everything you did. You’re an amazing person, and we will always remember...

Came here for the last time. Ordered 2 sandwiches..tomatoes were half green and soggy, they put clumps of lettuce Instead of shredding it or layering leaves of it..deli meat and cheese were sliced too thick and piled in one spot on the bread..and when he cut the sandwich, he couldn’t even cut it in half...it was more 1/3 and 2/3...All this and I got banged out for $8.75 for a roll and 9.75 for a hero. The staff seems too distracted chatting with each other instead of making a decent sandwich. Owner no where to be found...spend your money...
