Pappardelle's Pizzeria & Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Oyster Bay

The food isn't bad but they are poor business people. Over the past 2 months I've ordered from them 6 times via Slice (slice is helpful) twice they delivered my order 3 hours before the time I designated, once they didn't pay attention to the order and instead of sending a grandpa pie they sent a grandma pie, this last time today (food came 3 hours early), the driver rang the bell 15 times, no exaggeration, I was on a business call and had to interrupt it to answer the door and calm down my barking dog, I had asked for the food to be left at the door, no contact! Now that the food is going to be cold by the time it's dinner time I will have to warm it up which defeats the purpose of take out and also isn't as fresh. All these times slice gave me credits for my troubles. It's a shame because their food isn't bad but I will not be doing business with them anymore in the future. WOW just when you think things can't get any worse, today I look in the box for the chicken roll I ordered and it wasn't included! I didn't check the order last night because my husband gave me my calzone, he ate 1/2 a stromboli roll and a pnwheel, what should've been left was a chicken roll and a pinwheel and 1/2 a stromboli roll, what was left is everything BUT the chicken roll. NEVER EVER AGAIN will I do business with this place, how do you make so many mistakes in one month! If I could give them 0 stars I would!!

UPDATE: Well since my first review I have given you plenty of chances.However, you are just too inconsistent, never know what will come. I ordered a thin crust pizza well done with pepperoni and onion and peppers cut into small pieces. The pizza was doughy, not thin, not well done, there were large pieces on onions and peppers that just took over the pizza, the only thing right was the pepperoni. Are you guys too lazy to follow requests? Some days the orders are perfect other times they are a disaster, 50/50 chance. We have been going there for over 15 years w/our friends Mary/Joe who introduced us to this place. Cause they went there very often. So all 4 of us went there together either every week or every other week. Two weeks ago I ordered a meal to take home . Then waitress made a mistake charged us $13 for all the meals. We were nice enough to tell her about it so we get the bill for the 4 meals n she does not get in trouble. When we get home Then the waitress charged me 2 times for the one take out meal . No big deal I knew I would be there again. So we go in on this pass Thursday as usual n I show them receipt and tell them what happened. IT WAS A MATTER OF ABOUT $15 which I figured he would just take that amount off of the bill. After all we WERE GOOD CUSTOMERS!! THEY TELL ME TO CONTACT DISCOVER N DISPUTE THE CHARGE. I saw why do I have to do that when were here all the time. Its just easier to take it off the bill. The owner gets the brother involved n he refuses to do anything. HE tells to contact Discover. I say why do I have to jump thru hoops when it was the waitress error NOT MINE. He Tells me to contact Discover I have to use me time to fix the error that is how is has to be done. I CALL Discover. I tell the person on the other end the story. She tells me WHY DIDN'T THEY JUST TAKE IT OFF THE BILL THE PROOF WAS RIGHT THERE, YOU SAID YOU R THERE OFTEN" So needless to say I REFUSED TO EAT THERE N THE FOUR OF US WALKED OUT !!! SO NOW THEY LOST 4 CUSTOMERS WHO WERE THERE USUALLY EVERY OTHER WEEK. So they should learn to try n be nicer to customers that WERE THERE VERY OFTEN. So it's there loss not mine !!! The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because the baked clams (though on the menu said chopped they were whole) were very tasty. We went for early dinner Sunday night (4:30) with 3 other customers in the restaurant. It took over 20 minutes to get our appetizers. Only after we finally got our waitresses attention did we get them. Which by the way they never bothered to pick up the finished plate or bread basket that was filled with trash (we did that so that we didn't eat with the garbage around us). We also had to add on to our order of a to go order. When our waitress couldn't be bothered with us & I asked the other waitress to get her she said oh I'm your waitress now. Ok we then placed the order. 10 minutes later the original waitress came out with only my food (veal parm) & said sorry no one else wanted to bother bringing it to you (her exact words) I said what about our other dinner (pasta bolignaise). She went back & got that order as well. The table next to us were served salad & entrees. Not to mention who was supposed to be our waitress dropped one of their meals. After having to call the bus boy over to finally clear our table we were able to get the check & go. We moved here a month ago & had only recently seen this restaurant & were very excited to try it. Needless to say after this we won't be back. Thankfully the other restaurants in the area have been amazing. Sadly disappointed...
