Ralph's Famous Italian Ices — Restaurant in Town of Oyster Bay

First thing I asked was what product they have that are gluten free, egg free and diary free. The lady said the water ice. I asked if all the flavors do not have diary, wheat and egg. She said yes. My son chose the chocolate ice. After a taste, he told me he had an allergy reaction. I went back to the lady to confirm there is no allergens mentioned in the ice, and I also asked what scoop did she use, if she used the scoop that was used for other thing. The first thing she said was, " you didn't tell me about the allergies. You didn't say you have allergies." I replied that is why I asked what product do not have the three allergens I mentioned. She again said I never told her to use the allergy scoop. She later went to check the ingredients of the water ice and said some of them do contain eggs! But she doesn't know if the chocolate contains eggs or not! Seriously!? You cannot take food allergies like it's nothing. For some people it's life and death!
