Sabeli Salad Bagel Deli — Restaurant in Town of Oyster Bay

THIS IS THE HOLY GRAIL OF DELIS. I wish that was an exaggeration, but I am NYC born and Queens-bred, so judging delis and bodegas is in my blood. Sabeli is 12/10 in every single category, every time I have ordered. I needed to write a review this time because on this occasion, I asked Ms. Michelle to re-create a sandwich I love from a restaurant in the city. She absolutely nailed it- it required caramelized onions which they do not have ready but they took the time to do it for me during their busiest hour of the day (1 pm lunch) and it's those little things that keep us going during our crazy days. Sabeli treats their customers like family, the quality of the food is unbelievable; perfect and fresh to order every time. The service is as fast as possible without compromising on courtesy, friendliness and professionalism. And for those who may be skeptical about the price, I assure you that given the sky-rocketing costs of everything their prices are still extremely competitive and reasonable and barely reflects the incredible quality of the food you get. Sabeli is worth every dollar and visit....

Recently I had to rent a car at Enterprise and had some time to kill...The counter person said the food over at Sabeli's was great...

WOW! the first thing I noticed was how clean the store was...I felt like i was in an operating room. The second thing, I noticed was how the owner of the place spoke to his employees and other customers, I don't know what that owner/manager did before he owned a deli, but he was a captain! Very respectful, and spot on! Kind of think he could be a "Tony Roberts" kind of person....

Anyway, I order an empanada that just came out of the back and it was spot on! I am not the empanada king, but I was pretty darn impressed! I have to be back in 6 months--I will certainly tell my office to cater from this spot.

I wish the owner best of luck and if they ever want to open a place in outside of LI go for it!

I had a party at my daughters home for my grandsons birthday who came fromt Maryland we catered in the food from sabeli in syosset I will say we ordered a lot of great dishes filet mignon ,sausage peppers onion,fried chicken wings,ziti with sauce and ziti alavodka,mixed salad,chicken parmigiana,eggplant rollitini, salads of all kinds ,tray of mixed vegetables and I will tell you I eat out a lot and have been to other Italian delis and sabeli was FANTASTIC clean and the delivery was on point I will be catering my mothers 90 th birthday with that delicious filet mignon with all the fixings and did I mention the bill was reasonable inexpensive for what we ordered.Sabelis thank you foraging our party the best ever.I will be back ALL should try .Rob John’s the...
