Had a nasty experience with a very snooty woman by the Pickleball courts and want to put in a complaint. My 3 friends and I went to play and a woman in blue shirt with brown hair said there was a league run by town of oyster bay reserved at the courts, but if players didn’t show we could use one court. Mind you she stated the league began at 5:30 and it was now 5:50 on Tuesday and there were empty courts. We went to use the court and she told us we weren’t allowed with an attitude. I don’t know who she was but it’s a public park, and the sign posted for reservations was not valid for the time/date we went. Something wasn’t right, and we were forced to use tennis courts. Even other players there agreed we should have been able to use the pickleball court. I hope oyster bay does something about this, this woman ticked alot of people off and really ruined our visitation. Your league should be moved to a private area like Bethpage state park where you don’t block the public from using your public parks courts. People who work only can get there around 5:30, what’s the point of courts...
Read moreI work in Long Island and always visit this park because I love to come here and go in the wilderness to talk to my God, however on July 24 around 3:30pm I was approaching the pool area when a young blond girl said she need to see my ID. I'm from the Bronx so I'm not allowed to swim in the "pool because I'm not a "tax payer from Oyster Bay. Smh, I asked to spk to the manager and ask her if she could make and exception because I drove 1 hr to come here and my teen age son just want to have a different experience from his neighbor. The manager was clearly uncomfortable but she was willing to assist after a discussion. We felt so unwelcome that my so said he don't want to go because he don't need to fit into the "country club atmosphere. We were so disappointed, I can't believe in 2021 after Covid and Delta people want to be so vain. This is my last time coming to this *country club clearly I don't belong here. Snoody people.

Read moreThe pool is generally well-kept. There were a couple of leaves or plant garbage on the bottom of the pool. Not much mind you. They have three low diving boards, and the pool generally is pretty huge in a T shape with swim lanes besides the diving area and three general swim areas. There also is a round kitty pool, about 300 feet away to the side towards the concession stand. Speaking of one of my complaints is that their hours are separate from the pool so inconsistent and you can’t depend on them necessarily. The other major complaint is that they get you out of the pool at the first sound of thunder for a minimum of 45 minutes. We were there on the Fourth of July and got thrown out twice.
