*This based on takeout only. Ordered here a couple of times. I was very skeptical, due to the fact that I frequent Korean restaurants that are not a fusion or hybrid. Kimchi fried rice was par, it definitely lack some kick but it wasn't horrible. Bulgogi also lacked some seasoning. However, Crispy Chicken Bao was quite delicious, would definitely order this again. But for the main course, the Tantanmen was fire! Absolutely loved every bit of it, from the cumin, to the robust sesame flavor...then add the fire chicken! Boom! Delicious. Then again, I'm a spice fanatic. This was definitely different than a traditional shoyu (soy sauce), shio (salt), miso or tonkotsu ramen. The online ordering system was confusing, well for the Tantanmen it was. There were a lot of selector options: meat option, non-meat option, noodles, broth, and tantanmen options. A $19 bowl of ramen went to $30 real fast. I take it that the ingredients listed below the picture was included, but I take it that it was add-ons listed for selection. Added extra fire chicken $5, extra soft boiled egg $3, here's the confusing part... why is there another option for soft boiled egg under the tantanmen options also? So I selected the option for soft boiled egg again, just to be safe - $3. 19+5+3+3=30. We get the order... plenty of chicken... 1 egg. -.- Is it that you only include half an egg? So in this case an extra "order," would make it a whole egg? So you're saying you charge $3 for a half of a boiled egg? If sooo, that's my other complaint.... it's completely overpriced. If not, and it was supposed to be a full egg.. then I got robbed. Either way.. Spoonsticks is on the...
Read moreI’ve ordered from spoon sticks plenty of times, their food is great. My go to order is usually a bun with a protein and a potato dog, they sauce used on both is always good. The bun is always soft with a subtle sweetness. I recently tried their bubble milk teas, I tried brown sugar(delicious) and Thai tea(good but taste wasn’t for me). I ordered brown sugar with no boba and received a full cup but when I ordered the Thai tea with no boba the quantity in comparison was drastically noticed. The drinks are around $10 more or less, so regardless if boba was added or not the drink needs to be worth the money paid. Its already wild spending almost $10 on a beverage anyway, so this is a quality issue it could be depending on drink to drink or whoever is preparing the food/drinks that day. Either way I was disappointed due to the amount spent and not getting my monies worth. Please work on this, they don’t offer a size option so its o/s but if the quantity will change based on boba added or not perhaps different size cups should be offered with maybe a different cost or fill cups to the appropriate level each time for each drink. I fw spoon sticks but after this experience I will be hesitant to order a prepared beverage vs a pre-prepared one. Everything else i will continue to fw cus they hit every time & will continue to cus again their food is delicious. I’ve never been to the location in person i’ve always done delivery but one day instead of ordering in i’ll visit in person to order. Thank you for giving me great eating experiences besides the issue...
Read moreSpoonsticks left a very good impression on us as first time visitors. The place isn’t that big but the ambiance is on point. Not to mention, the attentiveness and pleasant mannerism from the food servers were just exceptional. I wished everyone everywhere was that polite. Honestly, it had us contemplating about visiting some Asian countries, starting off with Japan 🇯🇵. This place is a nice little gem. Now onto the real reason for the visit, the food. They have an extensive menu and everything looks irresistible. We appreciated the visuals included on the menu to give customers an idea of what the food looks like. For appetizers, we ordered the 10 piece Korean fried wings, half “garlic soy sauce” and the other half “original sweet sour spicy.” We also added the maandu, Korean steamed vegetable dumplings as part of our appetizer. For the main course meals, there were veggie fried rice and teriyaki chicken, jeonju dolesote bibimbap, and spicy rice cake. For drinks, we tried their lemonade. And let me say, the food and drinks were delicious. It’s definitely a place that we’ll be visiting again for we anticipate the service will be consistent. Finally, I’d like to give our waiter, Min, some credit for making our first...
