The Headliner Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Town of Oyster Bay

NEVER GO HERE SCAMMERS. THEY PUT OTHER TABS ON YOU CREDIT CARD. Unfortunately i visted this bar several weeks ago on a friday nite to give my daughter a ride back home . i order a tito's n soda and a corona. i pointed to bardender Leon to show what drinks were on my credit card he shook his head in agreement. he was at end of bar returned to us with credit card and receipt. it was crowded and late. so we rushed out . next day i realized i lost receipt and credit card , then went to my bank and cancelled card and last charge to my shock was $59. for 2 drinks from headliner ? Crazy ? i called Leon a few days later. he remembered me cause i'm gray haired man in crowded in a bar of 30 something year olds . the same group that is there every friday n saturday nite. on a first name basis with Leon. i called and he remembered me . i told him 2 drinks $15. and he charged $59. he owed me $44. HE SAID SOMEONE AT END OF BAR ADDED HIS DRINKS TO MY TAB. FIRST HE WOULD NOT NAME OR DESCRIBE HIM. BUT HE NEVER CAME TO ME TO ASK MY APPROVAL TO ADD THIS OTHER SUPPOSED TAB ? he did'nt care best he could do is offer free drink. Ridiculous scam. Spoke to owner Nikki who agreed he should have asked permission to add drinks to my tab but she still sided with Leon and offed me only $20. My advise never go to this place , go elsewhere . they are scamming customers cause they know they are to drunk to look at receipt or credit card. This is a rip off place with many health violations...

Was taking a friend out for dinner before she went to a show at the old Westbury Music Fair. This place was close. The menu looked good on line. The person I spoke to on the phone, Tristan, was polite and helpful. Cathy behind the bar was a hoot. Lovely woman with a wonderfully friendly personality. WELL, when we got there it looked like a dive. Typical neighborhood gin mill. BUT, the drinks were generous, the service superior and the food really good! Don't judge a book! The place was clean, the prices very reasonable and I would go back there again, just for the hell of it, if I loved nearby. The bacon cheese burger was superior. The BLT was great. Simple, comfort food, well prepared. What could be better? Heading to Westbury Music Fair (NYCB) or an Islander's game? This is the place to stop for a bite and a brew before or after! Well done,...

This place is a hidden gem! Two years ago I signed a lease right around the corner (walking distance) and after I did that I was looking for a place for an afternoon drink and lunch. I walked into this bar called The Headliner which was not anything special at first but once I started revisiting again and again (since it was walking distance from my apartment) I fell in love with this place. They have trivia nights, karaoke nights, great food, great drink specials, great bartenders and just a chill friendly atmosphere that everyone can enjoy. I’ve been to bars in the area and have seen those service workers come to this bar after work just to take a load off so you know the locals appreciate this place as well.
