Umberto's of Oyster Bay — Restaurant in Town of Oyster Bay

Ordered a personal chicken bacon ranch pie from Umbertos. Total came to $16 with no drinks or sides. A little steep in my opinion if they want to stay competitive in this market.

The personal pie was of good portion, if not larger than other establishments. They slice it in large quarters.

The best part of this pizza was the crust by far; I’m assuming they use some sort of pan because it was super crispy & delicious !!

However, the pizza itself did taste a bit bland. It lacked salt and that robust flavor you would expect from anything ranch. Adding salt & red pepper (myself) did bring it up to par.

Overall I’d give this place a 4/5. Crust & dough were great but they can certainly improve in the “seasoning department.” Heavier in flavor can be better than lacking in flavor , disregarding anchovies (haha).

I’ll buy from here again if they improve getting to/surpassing Mario’s level. Thanks !

1st time I ordered spaghetti and meatballs which was horrible no sauce meatballs were dying for sauce. Ok 2nd time I tried a grandma pazzo slice was supposed to have sausage black olives & red pepper. Burt little dabs of burnt cheese no sausage no black olives and burnt on the back. It’s a shame because I was the first person to buy slices of pizza at Ninos when he and his brother Tony opened up. Many many years ago. Ninos food was the best. Every slice brought tonight is burnt. I only gave the service of four because they stopped delivering to my area! They have such great vegan options and they have this vegan grandma pie that I served to all my guests last summer even though I’m the only vegan everyone loved it and today was the third time somebody asked if we were gonna be ordering “that pizza that we got last year” again. I have absolutely hated not being able to get food from here this year, I had to be their biggest vegan pizza customer lol! But if you’re looking for vegan options I would definitely recommend it, I just hope one day they expand their delivery area out...
