I had a very bad experience there today and last week. When I went a week ago I didn’t want to judge my experience as a negative one yet I gave it another chance today. I will say on both occasions I was invisible to the servers because I’m black and it’s bottom line. I’m not going to sugar coated the situation and I’m never one of those who ever write negative reviews or even point out being treated unfairly because I’m black this is my very first one. I stood there on both times I was ignored for a long time, but today was the worse there were 3 white people standing there and they were all being served one way or another 4-5 workers passed they looked at me and never once asked if I was being helped or even acknowledged my presence. One white woman was already being catered and was asked again if she needed help when she said no the guy was about to walk away never looked my way that’s when I opened my mouth and said something. This can’t be a coincidence!!! I bought foods for $37 I didn’t go there to ask for a free meal. I have never been treated like that anywhere here on Long Island so I’m definitely gonna kiss this place goodbye never in my wildest dreams I’ll ever step foot there again. I do know one thing there are a lot ignorants out there so I cannot let them change they way I see others. It’s a shame and it’s painful, but all I will do is move forward. I wish everyone who thinks they better than others the best of luck. Being a health care professional I deal with people from different origins and culture on a daily basis it never occurs to me that I not will care for someone because they’re different, I see and treat everyone equally. Giving RESPECT to others is the simplest...
Read moreI called to place an order for pick up at 1933p. I was told that it will take approximately 20 minutes for my order to be prepared. I arrived at Zorns ready to pick up my order at approximately 1948. I stood in the area for pick up and noticed that the paperwork stated that my pick up time was 1955. I noticed the employee placed an item in the fryer which looked like my order at 1950. I asked him if he just placed my order in the fryer and he stated yes in an annoyed manner and stated that it will only take 5 mins for preparation. I informed him that I was told that it would be ready within 20 mins and I was present at the 20 minute mark due to the fact that I am at work. I stepped out to touch base with my employer. An employee from Zorns called my job, spoke to a secretary and hung up. When I arrived at Zorn's for pick up, the doors were closed because it was approximately 2005, which I understand. There were still customers present inside and the employee knew of my order, placed my order in the fryer, called to tell me my order was ready, then came to open the door on my arrival and stated in an annoyed manner that we are closed as if he was unaware of my order. My frustration is that the employee was dismissive, had and attitude and I still didn't receive my food when I followed all the instructions explained to me over the phone. When the employee arrived at the door, I asked him what happened to the food he just placed in the fryer, he was dismissive and responded that were closed, disregarding the course of events which transpired. Some Customer Service, VERY disappointed of this supposed family oriented franchise and their...
Read moreThis is NOT the ZORN's of the past. I've been a customer since the early 70's. The food is nowhere near as good and worth the cost as it was in the good days. My recent order consisted of mashed potatoes that weren't mashed, they were 2 inch thick wedges of potatoes swimming in watery white potato water, no garlic as if someone started to make them and then walked away. I got 1/4 dark meat rotisserie chicken and 2 ribs. The chicken was small, like an overgrown Cornish hen, one bite and the leg was gone, 2 bites for the thigh. The ribs were 75% pure fat. These used to be their signature dishes. The pot pies are a joke, they are 1/3 the size they used to be. I contacted your rep via email as that is my preferred way to communicate, she labeled the email Door Dash, had nothing to do with them, they were fine. When I gave her the details again (I did on FB message too) she never responded back. I even sent her the ticket of the $134.00 order, the very least she could've done was refund me for the mashed potatoes ($8.00). I won't be giving them my business anymore. I don't have the means to drive there and they make it hard to place an order without paying a large delivery price (there are other formats that are more cost effective) I know this isn't going to make a difference. But it's sad that a business like this has to go the way of...
