The decor is beautiful, music selection great, and the restaurant is very clean. Waitstaff are friendly and eager to help. I ordered the breakfast potatoes and was very pleased at the taste and amazing texture- super crispy outside, and then the inside was just a lovely smush, not what I was expecting when I ordered potatoes. I was sort of expecting hash browns, not lovely giant chunks of potatoes, but I'm pleased with my choice. It's served with a house-made aioli sauce that has a mild flavor that doesn't overwhelm the spices on the potatoes. I've now returned for dinner service and have received exactly what I expected- personable service, quality food, and a beautiful atmosphere. My mother-in-law got the nightly special of chicken which was wonderfully moist with a light and fragrant gravy, and I got the steak paired with a lovely cabernet sauvignon. The bread platter appetizer was beyond my expectations, with an entire roasted garlic bulb and honey butter that wasn't overly sweet. The star of the show is anything potato based for me, though, to be honest. The way the breakfast potatoes were done and the way the fries were done have just ruined potatoes from other places for me. This is an absolutely lovely place to go, and you're supporting a local, family-owned business. I will come back here every time I am in Palmyra.

This place will definitely be on my list to come back to anytime I’m in town! The staff were friendly and accommodating to our food allergy. They felt like a family. The atmosphere feels so comfortable. We were commenting on how we felt like they could have squeezed more tables in but were so glad they didn’t because we felt like there was plenty of space to get around and through the tables. And oh my gosh the food!! My pork nearly melted in my mouth. Everything was so fresh and the flavors in each dish were perfectly balanced. We had the best macaroni and cheese of our lives. And even my fiance, who traditionally does not like crème brule, was nearly licking the dessert plate clean!

Adorable restaurant - loved the vibe here. It was a very busy Wednesday night! Place filled with couples, families, friends, and even solo diners. My friend wanted to try the burger - doesn't it look delicious? Her fries were handcut to die for! I tried the chicken schnitzel. Large portion - salad was so fresh! Chicken was very flavorful. We both enjoyed the place and so much food, we had to bring doggie boxes home with us. Nice choices on menu, plenty to choose from. We had NO room for dessert, but their lavendar creme brulee would have made it to our table if we did!

We've had The Hog & Hen on our radar for a couple of months and finally made it in today for Sunday brunch. WOW! The food was so fresh and delicious. You could absolutely tell that everything was scratch made in-house. The burger was one of the best we've ever had. The house made hash was also amazing. The breakfast burrito has house-made breakfast sausage and is one of the best around. Joe knows how to cook and how to make a great craft cocktail too (we recommend the Cranberry Bourbon Smash). Megan (Meghan?) was a wonderful host and we enjoyed chatting with her and Joe both. We tried her orange cinnamon roll that was amazing. We're looking forward to going back for lunch or dinner next time to try the other menu. If you have not eaten here, you need to give them a try a.s.a.p. Well worth the short trip from Fairport for a change and some...

Was excited to try this place but left somewhat disappointed. It was 90° out and they don’t have any air conditioning so it was just as hot if not hotter in the restaurant.. I definitely wanted an iced latte since it was so hot but the espresso machine wasn’t working. We were the only table in the restaurant (other than 1 person sitting alone at another table) and we waited at least 15+ minutes for our iced coffees that were watered down. At this point we were way too hot to have a hot breakfast. We asked if they had any fruit we could have a bowl of. The server had to guess the type of fruit they had cause she didn’t know, and didn’t even end up having that as an option.. brought us out something different without informing us.

The staff was friendly and the decor was inviting but lacked elsewhere. Hopefully this is...
