It is my opinion that writing a review is a tricky thing to do! Often times, the tendency is to respond, based on an emotional experience,.. something that recently occurred, initial gut instinct, etc. Sometimes, that's good, ...honest, raw,.. but sometimes, that's not so good.
I'm glad I took my time in writing this review because I feel that the reader of this review will get a better understanding as to why I'm giving this establishment a 5-star rating, and hopefully help them during their next pizza purchase.
Some would argue that pizza is pizza,.. nothing too complicated to make. And while I would agree with this statement, I would also express my shock that some establishments manage to stay in business, based on a crappy product! At some 'other' pizza establishments,... one week, I'll have a phenomenal pizza experience, only to be utterly disappointed the next week, only to discover "Bob" wasn't working the day I had my less-than-stellar pie.
I recently lost my "Pizza Guy", and have spent the last 6 months in finding my replacement pizza establishment. I have tried all the pizza establishments in my immediate area, and even ventured out to a few select places. I've relied of other people's suggestions. Never quite finding a place to land at.
A few months ago, and on a whim, I decided to try Salvatores,.. I passed it every day I went to Weg's,.. so I figured I had nothing to lose! I've never been into 'corporate chain' type of places because I feel that they lack authenticity, and are simply massed produced.
Well, I have to say,... although that might be true for some chains,.. I do NOT think its true at Salvatores! This is what you can expect at Salvatores: Consistent, great tasting pizza with plenty of sauce/cheese/pepperoni. Professional and courteous staff,....service with a smile! Safe, clean, and family-oriented atmosphere! Weekly if not daily coupon specials. Affordable pricing!
In a world that is consistently Inconsistent, and changing, the last thing I need to deal with is inconsistency in my pizza! If you also enjoy some sort of consistency in life, ...then I highly recommend you give...
Read morePlaced a delivery order today for 1 Medium cheese 1 Gluten Free 1 boneless wings and the total was $50.00. We were ordering food for our family which includes three small children. When placing the order nothing was relayed to us that cash was not the preferred payment method. Salvatore’s took our order and when it was delivered I was going to pay with cash. I was paying with a larger bill because that’s all we had. The person who was helping us at our door told us our total and when I handed them the bill he told me that he didn’t have change to break a large bill. We were turned away because I didn't use a card to pay with. I understand there is an on going COIN change shortage but how does a driver not have money to give out change? You couldn’t round up to the nearest dollar? So tonight my three young children will not be eating before their sports because of this. I’m appalled that this was not notified to us before making the order so I could use the correct form of payment. He told me “do you go around paying with $100 every time you order a pizza??” Oh I’m sorry the order was $50! Does he go around not having change for his customers all the time??The driver also drove away with our order refusing to take our money. After he left I called to speak to a manager and all they did was apologize for the inconvenience. An apology doesn’t give us the food we ordered. We will not...
Read moreWe ordered a pizza and boneless wings tonight, and picked up the order as indicated on the website. When my husband brought them home (we are a couple miles from the Bay Road Pizzeria), the pizza was lukewarm and the wings were cold. I contacted the store and asked to speak to the manager. I spoke with Mary who apologized, offered to remake our order or apply a credit. I said the credit was fine so she said she would credit $13.05; I brought to her attentiion that the total cost of the order was $33.26. She said she could only do the $13.05 credit and the line went dead. Assuming she hung up on me, I called back and asked why she hung up on me, and I was handed over to a man who explained how they keep pizzas warm, and that the pizza must have cooled down during travel time. So I guess 2 miles to our house cooled down a hot pizza; not likely since my husband put the pizza on the floor and turned the heat up to keep it hot. Customer service, not good; blaming the client, not good. CYA Salvatore's since there's plenty of other pizzerias in the...
