I wanted to try Salvatore's pizza because I am new to the area and never heard of them. So I thought why not? Well I wanted the pizza delivered given the fact that I was somewhat restrained from picking up the pizza myself. I told the gentlemen on the phone where I lived and I was put on hold. Then a woman came on the phone and said unfortunately we do not deliver that far. Ok, I live less than 9 miles away and it's only a 14 minute drive to my house! I asked her how far do they travel and she said you have to be within a 3 mile radius for it to be delivered. I never heard of anything so ridiculous! There are PLENTY of other pizza shops out there that travel way more than 3 miles to deliver a pizza. Why should Salvatore's be any different? For her to say that to me is NOT good business! What she should of said instead is, "Ma'am I see that you live a little further outside our radius therefore we have to charge you more on the delivery fee." I would have been completely fine with that! If you are only willing to deliver within a 3 mile radius, than why have a delivering service at all? The lady on the phone was a complete SNOB and needs to work on her phone skills as well her customer skills. Needless to say, I will NEVER get pizza from Salvatore's again due to this unpleasant experience. I want Salvatore's to remember that you are a business for the public therefore you should...
Read moreI called for delivery & asked that the driver have $1 change so I could get change and tip...was gonna tip $5 for delivery of an order of wings; owner took my order & said driver wud have $1's on her for change. When driver came for cash delivery, she told me it was policy from the owners NOT to have any cash, even for a cash delivery (!?)...not sure if the driver was fishing for a bigger tip or not, but driver definitely told me it was against policy from the owners for the delivery drivers to have even one dollar bill on them, which was all I wanted back from the order so I cud tip her an even $5. Anyway, someone was lying - not sure who, but owner was SUPER defensive when I called about that. Ridiculous. Hard to find good help these days, for sure. Owner said this was her best driver who just wanted to deliver & didn't want tips. Delivery person said there shud have been notes on the receipt if the owner who took the order was letting her know she shud have some one dollar bills on her. Read moreThis evening, May 26 2023, I called to order a pizza delivery and was shocked by the lack of professionalism of the person I spoke with. When she picked up the phone she was laughing and talking with others in the background. I had to wait for even a "hello." Then after announcing that I was speaking with Salvatore's, she starting talking again with others in the background and laughing. I had to wait for her to get back to me. After she got through asking my phone number and whether I wanted pickup or delivery she stopped for another long conversation and then asked how my night was going, with even more laughing in the background. I started to wonder whether the person on the other end was sober. At that point, I lost complete confidence in this person and the rest of the crew working. I did not feel I could trust them with my credit card number, trust them to cook a decent pizza or deliver it to the correct address. I told them I would take a pass today and hung up.
You not only lost a sale there, you lost my business. Before I order again I would like to know how you will upgrade the service in Fairport. I hope you can fix this problem and restore...
