I have given this place a try twice now. First time I ordered was a weekday about a month ago and again last night on a Friday. My first time ordering was a Stromboli and cheese salad. I got one bite into the Stromboli and coughed on how much garlic seasoning was used. Couldn’t take more than one bite and that one bite was extremely doughy and undercooked. The salad was literally American cheese slices used and had to be the worst salad I’ve ever paid for. Ok with that said, some places can have a bad night due to poor staff or a number of reasons. I decided to try again one last time and this time I order two classics that any first time restaurant workers could not mess up. I ordered a pepperoni and cheese pizza and a Philly cheese sandwich. Well I was so wrong in thinking it was impossible for a pizza joint to mess up a pizza so bad. It was doughy throughout and the cheese wasn’t even melted all the way. They used far too much sauce and the sauce tasted worse than anything you could even buy out of a can. One bite and I spit it right out. Now onto the steak sandwich. I asked for it lightly toasted which to them must have must meant not at all. The cheese was only partially melted and the onions and peppers were salted to a point they were just a mushy mess and almost had the consistency of mashed potatoes. The steak must have been seasoned with a clove of garlic because that’s all you taste. Also the pizza had a strong garlic taste as well which is weird and not at all common for a NY style pizza. The slice app has them with nearly a 5 star review with over a thousand reviews that you just can’t see. It’s obvious it’s all a scam to get you to think they have edible food. The gas station in their parking lot has pizza that is 1000 times more edible. That’s not saying much either. I should have came here and read the real reviews and I would have noticed the same reply they send to every real reviews. It’s clearly a copy and paste reply about how they will do better because of the persons feedback. Well clearly that’s not the truth because if you read the reviews they only get worse with time. I heard they were actually a good place to eat when they had their own restaurant up the road. But now they just operate out of a fruit fly infested building that sells discount fruits and vegetables. If you want a great deal on a dry Canadian Christmas tree then visit their location. But I wouldn’t ever buy any type of food cooked or uncooked from this location. I wish I would have known they moved into the fruit fly building before I ordered. Knowing what I know now I’ll never waste my money or appetite on them again. Too bad they didn’t deliver the food from the gas station in the...
Read morePizza was actually great. Good fresh cheese and plenty of it. Not the bagged shredded. This was real hunks of gooey melted cheese in true pizza style. Crust delicious though a bit limp.
The delivery guy is what destroyed a great experience taking Dino's off the house delivery list. Noisy vehicle, loud music and attitude. An example. A $9.95 pizza with tax and delivery charge is 14.00. The order was given stating I am using a twenty dollar bill to pay. That was written on the receipt..along with the location...as it can be difficult to see the house actually. So the delivery guy comes up with the loud music acting like I am wasting his time. Nearly throws the pizza at me. No change is presented. I wait. He then states, oh you aren't expecting change. Well, actually I am! I gave him a very good tip...the very last...I will never call Dino's or recommend anyone calls Dino's again.
Though I make pizza weekly, I also am around and use pizza delivery frequently for friends and clients. Certainly, the delivery guy is going to make a lot of money someday...but rude is rude and he is rude. It reflects on the owner of the business. It is too bad...because it is a decent product...but the front or in this case the delivery guy..killed all further sales!
If you like to play $22 for a $9.95 pizza....that is what you will do with Dino's....not...
Read moreDino's has been on a decline. This place used to be one of my favorite places as a kid, we would have Friday night dinner here alot. But slowly they have been dropping in quality. One time we ordered takeout, and they forgot to give us our salad. We called asking if we could pay for it to be delivered or if we could just get a refund, we were refused (I could hear the manager in the back saying no refunds) and told we would have to go pick it up (we live kinda far so that was out of the question) so we just took the loss. The next time we dared to get takeout our cheese pizza was burned, like black and the chef had tried to put more cheese on it to cover his mistakes. We weren't allowed a refund either, and would have to wait for a new pizza. Food is hit or miss now, I always liked the fish sandwich and the salads are good when you get them but the pizza used to be much better. Friends have said dining in is still good, I wouldn't know since we usually skip this place. Basically don't get takeout or just take no risks and dodge the place entirely, there are much better pizza joints to hit. It's a shame, this place used to be a...
