I was excited for this place, but unfortunately very disappointed. It was a Thursday night at 5pm, we waited for 45 minutes to get seated. The hostess did not take names down of anyone, they gave us a post it note with our number, 31, on it. We sat and watched them seat other groups that arrived after us. We said something to the 2 hostesses, one walked away while we were talking to her and the other one said there were 5 other people before us. However, we got seated in the next 5 minutes. No apology or smile from either of them. Our waiter was somewhat attentive. Girl who brought chips and salsa to the table just sat it down on the counter, no hello or eye contact. The guy that brought our plates out just sat them down, we all said thank you but he didn't respond, no eye contact or "do you need anything else". Another girl doing the guacamole cart had a shirt on that said, "Sorry if you thought I was interested, I'm not". That's just tacky to wear in this business. At one point, it was someone's birthday on the other side of the room. Staff was helping celebrate, but the noise makers and horns were SO loud, it was just over the top. The environment was not relaxing and we definitely felt like staff did not care about the customers. Mexican food is my favorite, and unfortunately this food was not good. None of us (4), finished anything on our plates. The meats were bland or flavorless. My son's burrito had SO many onions and hardly any chicken. Each plate was around $15, so I would expect a lot more from the staff and quality in the food. The inside of the restaurant looked very nice. I hate to leave a negative review, but I was so...
Read moreOur family visited this new restaurant and here’s our honest first impression: the food was great and absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, the raspberry house margarita was not enjoyable it had a taste reminiscent of a cleaner.
We had ordered the tableside guacamole, but instead our meals arrived without it. We waited for the guac while already eating our food, but it never came. We both ordered the fajitas, they were excellent.
Service was also disappointing. Our waiter was mostly absent, and when we did get his attention, it felt like we were bothering him. For example, when she requested extra flour tortillas, he came back empty-handed the first time. Only after reminding him again did he finally bring them. Another waiter eventually stopped by and she asked for the check. When the bill arrived, the missing tableside guacamole was still included, and we had to point out that we never received it.
Additionally minor thing, we ordered from the kids’ menu for our 3-year-old, which was listed at $8.50, but we were charged $10.25 instead.
To be fair, it was a busy night and we did wait about an hour to be seated outdoors on a Thursday around 5:00 p.m. Still, the service definitely needs improvement. That said, the food itself was delicious, and we will be back to give it another try. If you’re looking for good food, this place is worth a visit—but hopefully, the service...
Read moreOverall mediocre and not worth the hype. Crazy busy, 30 minute wait at 4pm. Not great communication from employees, bartender tried to double charge us for the drinks we had at the bar while waiting. No big deal but the whole experience was somewhat confusing and some of the staff didn’t seem all that friendly. Food was eh, not bad but pretty bland and the same as basically every other average American “Mexican” place that exists. Not authentic at all. Despite that, the entire staff appeared to be Mexican which resulted in a bit of a language barrier difficulty with our server, who was nice enough when they were present, but overall abrupt and inattentive. The atmosphere is loud and echoey, which further made communication difficult. We ordered guacamole we never received but were charged for. First margarita was good, had the Jose Cuervo gold margarita, but the second one was terrible, tasted like straight triple sec. Seemed like they skipped the tequila and doubled up on the triple sec on the second round. Could barely drink it. So not even the drinks can be relied upon depending on who makes them. Overall disappointing, I was hopeful for a little more authenticity food wise, or at least solid cocktails. This is basically a mediocre Tex mex chain restaurant. I can say that once we were seated the food arrived pretty promptly, besides our...
