Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Town of Poughkeepsie

We were first time customers at this location, the hostess seated us in the worst possible area (very end booth next to the bar and kitchen door). We waited over 15 minutes just to be greated by our waitress and another 15 minutes to get our drinks. Our waitress was rude and she seemed to be rushing us. We only saw her about 2 times for our entire stay, she didn't get us refills, bring our food or drinks to us, or wait on us for other orders. She only took our order and came over durning the mean and asked how it was. The food was flavorless and mediocre, but our drinks were good. I this the main reason for my 1 star was what we witnessed from the bartender... because we were seated to close to the bar we got to watch our drinks being made... first incident was that she made our drinks and another waitress took our drinks and brought them to another table at the other end of the restaurant, the bartender realised this and walked over to that table and brought the drinks back and then gave them to us... it was odd and unsettling to see that our drinks were passed around and given to other customers, I mean who knows what else happen to that drink... we decided to take the drink because the straw was capped... the last incident was toward the end of our dinner. We were looking at the drink menu with the intention to order more drinks and dessert.. I looked over at the bar and saw the bartender in the middle of making a drink and talking to another employee, all of a sudden the bartender stuck her tongue out and picked something off of the back of her tongue and pulled it off saying "Ugh I think I had a hair in my mouth." She then wiped her hands on her pants and continued to make the drink in her hand!!! After that I said nope! We're not ordering anything else! We decided to leave without a tip after what we saw from the bartender and after our waitress ignored is the entire time. It was so disgusting and repulsive to see that bartender handling food and drinks (our drinks!!) after feeling her tongue up! I won't be...

Prior to this, we had a good experience for the most part. I will start off my thing our waitress was Sweet at the Poughkeepsie New York one. However, there were errors in three of the four meals that were ordered And my plate Was not clean and had guacamole on it that was not part of my meal had just squirted on it from their sauce dispenser they told me. The waitress fixed the other issues and then had a nice gentleman a Spanish man come over. He was a supervisor he was very kind offered to Issue and I owe you for a meal when I come in next time and he was going to take my Dirty plate of food off of my check. Antoinnette, the general manager, a blonde lady with glasses came over not so Great about her own supervisor And said that he was wrong, they couldn’t give me the IOU you for the meal that he had promised me and then they didn’t take the meal off of my check that was served on a filthy plate. Forget all the errors in the other meals that we ordered. We then waited quite some time just to pay for the check overall. I was just horrified that how the general manager handled it and I promise I will never go back to that Applebee’s,...

Applebee's has always been a spot we visit once in a while. Well we decided to give it a go again and once again it was not anything special. I will say we ordered cheese bites which were good and nachos that were better then some Mexican places we have been to lately. As for the main courses they were just ok. I got the broccoli chicken Alfredo which was the most overcooked and dry pasta I have ever had. I even got a side of Alfredo and it was still not enough. My wife had a chicken wrap that was just ok she said. I tried both drink specials which were pretty good. The biggest problem is that it took 45 minutes for us to get our appetizers and I am being generous with the amount of time it was even longer the that. So we get the apps and about 5 minutes later out comes out main courses. I think everyone does not like when that happens. We have our three year old with us as well and it was very challenging to keep a kid entertained for 45 minutes why we waited. We will not be revisiting this Applebee's. If you want good food and great service drive done the street...
