The products are good and enjoyable but the service from the manager today around 1 - 3 pm was horrible. My friend and I ordered a drink specifically all vanilla because she can't have chocolate. When we got it, it appeared to have chocolate so we told the staff. They were unsure whether it did or not so they brought the manager over who insisted there was no chocolate though the drink had a chocolate color. When my friend tried it, sure enough, it did taste like chocolate. We went back to inform the manager and she rudely told us to read the product description. It didn't say anything about having chocolate. Then to our surprise the manager says, "it doesn't have chocolate, it has oreo cookies and oreo cookies are not chocolate." Wow.... we were really amazed to be treated so rude in front of everyone and then for this manager to say that oreo cookies are not chocolate was shocking. We said they were she insisted they weren't. We asked for the drinks to be remade, because that's not what we ordered and most importantly my friend can't eat chocolate (that did not matter to the manager at all). The manager first said she was not going to exchange them but we insisted and she came at us extremely harsh that she will only do it this one time but never again. A few minutes later she was leaving and had the nerves to go past us and repeat that she will never exchange anything for us ever again. ugh....what an experience, she really needs customer...

If you’re into a sweeter coffee experience, then Gloria Jean’s is for you. Their customized “Chillers” are an upscale, more dessert version of the classic Starbucks frappe.

With a recommendation from the barista, I decided to try the “Madagascar Vanilla Caramel Chiller”—the brand’s most popular.

At first, I found the vanilla bean flavor a tad strong, but it softened with every sip. The caramel and whipped cream was a nice added touch and as mentioned, the added ingredients stand out much more than the espresso.

For $7.03 for a “small,” the price is comparable to most major coffee chains and with a few added ounces, it’s basically a Starbucks trip.

Personally, I found Gloria Jean’s to be a tad overrated, but for a “once in a while mall stop,” they’re not half bad—just more of a kid’s treat than...

I'm more of a tea drinker than coffee but I thought I'd give this place a try while I was shopping at the galleria. They have non coffee drinks called cookie chillers. I ordered one that was suggested to me by the one worker there. I ordered a large thinking it would last me a while...wow was that an understatement. The large size is gigantic! I nearly couldn't hold it with one hand it was so big lol. The flavors were good too. Kind of like an ice...
