The unfortunate experiences shared in previous reviews seem to ring true. I'd advise careful consideration before supporting this business with your time and money. We had an 8:15 reservation and weren't informed that the kitchen closed just 15 minutes later. Our slightly early arrival was met with noticeable displeasure, despite the bustling and crowded restaurant, filled with patrons showing no signs of leaving soon.
Given the chaotic atmosphere, we proposed sitting outdoors, only to be grudgingly accommodated by our server. Our attempts to place an order were met with an unprepared response of the server's lack of a pen, and an insistence that we just tell her our order instead. An attempt was made to justify the poor service with an explanation about the establishment operating with only one shift.
On her next visit, she rushed us to order due to the impending kitchen closure. An unexpected storm led us to request our entrees to-go, which was met with yet another insinuation of inconvenience, this time allegedly for us.
Furthermore, the food itself did not compensate for the service shortfalls. It was largely mediocre; the olives were sad and my mushroom pasta was disappointing, characterized by minimal flavor and an...
Read moreReview from a local ------ It's common that many restaurant owners are on drugs or drinking on the job. But this experience really made top 3. A family member called to simply inquire about a panna cotta that was bought here, which was basically 2 weeks old according to the bar code. The owner started SHOUTING and asking if there was mold --- no, but are you proud to serve non- fresh items at that price?? He proceeded by saying he was "getting very annoyed"* and to "never come back again". Don't worry about that, we have been regulars since you opened but no more. Also we supported your business all through out the pandemic. CiAO!!
Also I wouldn't let this one experience completely effect my rating of a local business. However after frequenting here enough (not much choice there are only 3 other restaurants in this town) and giving multiple chances, the food here is average at best. They charge high prices and can get away with it because of the tourism. And the vegan rating for this place is a zero, I had one "vegan" pasta dish that was naked with no sauce and some measly zucchini tossed together.
I am disappointed as well to realize they have been adding on a large 18% gratuity when I have already been tipping...
Read moreDon't bother coming unless you want bad service. I came here for a bridal party brunch, what a mistake. Lets start by saying we were the only table, and it was only 6 of us. We started with a round of drinks, they don't allow any cocktails not on menu, and getting those cocktails took 20+ min alone. That's okay, maybe the bartender was new. The rest of the meal just unfolded in the weirdest ways. The server stopped coming to our table (again it was just our table and 5 front of house staff). My friend asked to add tomato to her salad (she's lactose intolerant so she asked for this instead of cheese) but they said no. She huffed and puffed when we asked to change silverware between meals. She'd drop off a wine menu and then not return. We sat for 30 minutes at the end of our meal trying to get another drink but then gave up and just asked for the bill. The espresso was super burned. When we got the bill, there was an auto gratuity charge of 18%, a perfect explanation for the awful service. The food was actually pretty good but the service ruined...
