The Vineyard at East Wind — Local services in Town of Riverhead

The Vineyard at East Wind was absolutely perfect for our daughter's wedding this weekend! We had ideal weather so the ceremony and cocktail hour were outdoors and with all the colors from the leaves changing on the trees and vines it made it even more beautiful! The ceremony was just before sunset, the market lights came on, the food and drink all ready to go as soon as ceremony finished. We had asked for a meat free/mostly plant based menu which wasn't something the EW offered at the time but Executive Chef Brian knocked it out of the park with his creativity and everything was delicious! We cannot say enough about the staff here, Jenn was amazing helping us get started and reassuring us that everything will be just the way the bride and groom dreamed of (and answering my million questions) she was so understanding, patient and helpful! Our maitre'd Reid and Bridal Assistant Lex were the best team you could ask for! They were on top of everything and made it all look effortless. They were so kind, always smiling, and asking if everything was ok or if we needed anything else. The waitstaff and bartenders were very attentive, making sure everyone had a drink in hand, passing around seconds for dinner and keeping the room spotless. If there was a spill, it was already being cleaned up before you could even look for someone to help. We had some added decorations and they set it all up perfectly. Our DJ & MC were from Absolute and had the dance floor packed all night. (Max & Eric were amazing!) We had some late night drinks at Desmond's, stayed overnight at the Inn (beautiful large rooms btw), the next morning back to Desmond's for breakfast and found everything we were taking back home neatly packed up in the reception room for us to pick up. If you are looking for a staff that cannot do enough for you to help you have the perfect wedding from start to finish, call the EW. They are truly wonderful!

Our suggestion for fall wedding; definitely consider offering blankets or wraps (we purchased fleece throw blankets online rolled them and put in stacked wooden crates with a cute sign) at the entranceway along with paper cones and dried flowers to throw. We are so glad we did the blankets, guests really appreciated them (got a little chilly at sundown) and it made for some cute photos too. Most took them home, and leftovers we are donating...

We were married at the vineyards April 28, 2024 and let me tell you the staff at East Wind is fantastic. Our Maitre D Joe took such incredible care of both of us and was able to anticipate and get ahead of any and all hiccups to make our day completely perfect. Our Bridal Attendant Barbara was so kind and made sure we had everything we needed. I had a complicated bustle and she, without hesitation, jumped in and got it fixed. Truly the two of them are a dream team who we cannot thank enough. If management reads these reviews, give Joe and Barbara all the raises and all the promotions because they went above and beyond for us and our family. All of our guests loved the venue, the food was raved about and we had an incredible night, all thanks to the East Wind team. I recently was married here over the weekend and I can't say enough about the staff and venue. My maitre de Reid was absolutely amazing and accommodating! I told him my vision and he made it come to life! Everything was perfect and anything I could have wished and hoped for! My bridal attendant Lex, was another amazing person! She was there to help with anything I could have ever wanted! My Groom forgot something and we just mentioned it to her, and within seconds she had it there. The day couldn't have been more perfect, with the location and grounds of the Vineyard, to the overall staff being so willing to help and be there for you, to the decor and just my overall vision of how I wanted everything to be.
