China Star — Restaurant in Town of Rotterdam

China Star was my ho to food place after Yummy Yummy really fell off in terms of food quality. They food used to be very flavorful.

Sadly, this place, too, has gone downhill in the two years that this has been my go-to place for Chinese takeout. The food quality just isn't there anymore, and there is a major language barrier. I was put on hold 8 times because the person the phone couldn't understand my question and kept voming back with answers to questions I didn't ask. A simple "does this sauce have dygar in ut" question became an hour long ordeal in the end they could not answer, their dolution was to put it on the sude. If you dont know what's in your own food, that is a hyge red flag.

Also, the delivery times have skyrocketed recently, which used to be 10-20 minutes, and now it is about an hour to get a delivery.

Horrible customer service! We used to order from China Star almost every week, great food. In the last few months the delivery time has gone from 20-30 min to an hour or more. The last time they forgot our soda at 9 o'clock at night, apologized and said they would be right back, 10:30 rolls around, they are closed and they forgot! They gave us a coupon for a free combo for the trouble. We haven't ordered in months because we were upset but we didn't like the few other places we tried so we gave it another shot. We ordered food today at 5:40, its now 7:25 and still no food. We called to complain and she said we always call at a busy time. They should change their name to China no star! Can't believe my husband paid over $60 for this garbage. Everything was overcooked, sesame chicken was a tiny piece of chicken within a large clump of tempura batter fried to a deep dark crisp, the bourbon chicken almost took my son's tooth out when he bit into it so make sure you have good dental insurance. The color of the wonton broth was the color of the wash water after washing a load of dirty cloth diaper or a urine sample of someone with really bad kidney disease.The egg rolls were hard and brown with the same color on the inside.
