When I go here it's like seeing the Family that o never asked for lol The staff is great, I mean not all of them and most don't want to help you because they don't know what you are talking about and have no real knowledge of products or whatever it may be. I don't care though, it's a discount retail chain supergiant that isn't going anywhere. There are many people that stand out and make me smile when I think about them. One has moved into a new store, he was in Security, name starts with a D and he is a good soul. Personable, aware and diligent. Always helpful and I wish him nothing but the best at his new Wally World location. A girl who I thought was pushing 40 years old and is only 19, going on 20 lol She doesn't look old! I hope she sees this! I wasn't paying attention I guess and over estimated. She is a beautiful young woman and has always been a joy to deal with. She makes me smile and feel appreciated for being me. If I were straight, if I were straight! lol You can just tell she is a good hearted, loving person who just loves WalMart too much! Like me! haha So, she knows who she is, she was just promoted to a new Position which is great, so young and smart. The hardest working people I have met in that store and that have shined above the rest, not only in that store but in many other retailers I have been in over the past many years are... Chandra in Men's Clothing and (I don't remember his name and I apologize because he's great) the lovely, a bit older (70ish years old) man that works in the Garden/Whatever else he does back there Department. I have never seen either of them not doing actual work at work. You know what I mean, you know how you and your coworkers can disappear or text or "go to the Bathroom" (meanwhile you're outside smoking!). I mean these two Employees are doing above and beyond what any employee I have seen working there. I know there is a new Store Manager at this location. He needs to watch Chandra and "The man without a name in the Garden Center" as they work their shift. They deserve a substantial raise and a plaque on the front wall of the store or something. They're also kind, sweet and genuine. Awesome people. There are others but I'm over typing. This store is generally great. I mean, we are talking about WalMart folks, it is what it is. Shout out to my peeps at Altamont Avenue WalMart. This is Michael...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf I could give this store a zero I would. My mother worked at this store for years. Actually it was the last job she had before she retired. It was horrible. I was followed by a guy that kept asking me for money for a pillow that he had in his hand and I finally said to him I'm not giving you any money. Go call your mother. He said my mother's in the city and she won't answer the phone and I said well you're barking up the wrong tree. I'm not giving you any money nor am I buying that pillow. I advise you to go back and get a cheaper one. He began to try to say something obnoxious and I stopped him right there and told him you don't want to bark up this tree. Keep it moving and that was the end of that. Did not see him again throughout the store. Also saw other men walking around in the women's section with nothing in their cart and then they would just pick something off the shelves and throw it in there. They weren't shopping. They were just basically either looking for something else besides women's clothing. I really think you guys ought to beef up that security over there. I've lived in Rotterdam for 40 years and I'll never come back again. I'll drive all the way over to Washington avenue extension before I shop in that store again until you clean it up. You really have let it go down the hill. Have a little pride in your store. I told the girls in the ladies room about it. No one did anything. No one even bothered to call the front end. Who knows what this guy was out for or what he was looking for. This is a situation for disaster. Get that...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAside from being a dump as every other Walmart this place needs to have better inventory of the items they actually stock. Every time I go there for an item they carry they never have it stocked.Go in the morning not there go in the evening still not there. Doesn't matter what day of the week and at this rate month. The store literally looks like it's shambles. The pallets in the middle of the aisles is really a nuisance making a cramped store even more so. They have the beauty and other essentials locked up. Good luck waiting for someone to assist you. It's the stores own damn fault that there is so much theft. If management and workers actually did there jobs it would deter many from stealing. With the lack of oversight and upkeep of the store it has become a cesspool for unsavory people. Make it look like a store and actually have staff working would be a good first step. The design of the store could be a bit better by sectioning the departments more . Instead of locking things up in a section have a couple workers covering that area specifically with its own checkout counter. Another issue is this store is never up to date with newer products that you may find at farther away stores. Don't exactly feel like driving 10 miles more to the next store and ordering online is a 50/50 chance of receiving the...
