Johnny C’s Pizza & Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Rotterdam

I have come here the last 2 times I've visited upstate NY from SC. We travel app 25-30 minutes to eat here. We had a reservation so there was zero wait, not sure if that's typical for any walk in tables or not. Both of my 2 visits our large group ordered pizza and wings. Their pizza is pretty good NY style hand tossed pizza but the wings.... oh man, so flippin good. Crispy and saucy. The sauce is so good we were mopping all the extra sauce up with our pizza crust. The only complaint on our latest visit was a less than attentive waitress. We had 10 guys at our table and after our order was placed we may have only interacted with the waitress 1 or 2 more times for the rest of our meal. Cups were empty for 5-10 minutes, it got to the point that I couldn't even seem to flag her down so I just walked up to the bar and asked for a few pitchers of soda and water to keep us from having to wait on her. My wife and i wanted to get Italian takeout tonight and decided to give it a try . Where to start....served in a clear,hard plastic container that is typically used for cold foods( subs,salads ,etc.),so needless to say it was not warm after our 5 minute drive home. We could not believe how small a portion it was. So small,that I got my food scale out and weighed it.. 8.1 ounces- that includes the sauce and cheese. The cheese wasn't fully melted and the sauce tasted like it was from a jar. The chicken "breast" was thin, dry and tasteless and the pasta was over cooked and mushy- a real sign of pre-cooked and/or reheated pasta( and no salad.?)..all this for $ 19 + tax ?... without question this was the worst looking and tasting chicken parm I ever had . Hard...

Pretty unprofessional establishment in my opinion. Without a doubt one of the worst atmospheres I have ever seen at a restaurant. A single large party in the center of their dining area with no music whatsoever in the establishment, I’m not a fan of not being able talk to my partner at dinner because the only thing you do here in the restaurant is that group and not her. Also not a single waitress greeted us or directed us where to sit, leading me to ask them “if this spot is OK?” Lastly the food is extremely overpriced when 8 cut thin pepperoni black olive pizza comes out close to 40$ you know...
