Carvel — Restaurant in Town of Rye

This Carvel location is perfect. It has a large parking area. When you go inside they are fully protected and have a plastic shield between the people who work there and the customers. Works out for everyone.

We went on a super hot day so there were a few people on line in front of us, but everyone was social distancing and wearing masks.

Mint chocolate chip ice cream tasted like toothpaste. Not a big deal. Maybe some people like that different flavor, but when I complained and asked for something else, the guy behind the counter seemed offended and told me that in 20 years no one has ever complained. I wasn't insulting his mother, just saying I didn't like the company recipe. Expected better service. Disappointed. Replacement ice cream was cookie dough...

This location is horrible! I stopped in while visiting friends in the area and should have left. Small outdated store with rude staff. I grabbed a pack of Oreo Rounds to go. The ice cream had frost on them so I should have put them back. The cookie was soft and stale and ice cream had a freezer taste, after eating one I had to them them out. $18 wasted. I love Carvel but don't recommend...
