Cerbone's Bakery — Restaurant in Town of Rye

Maria, perdona me pero estoy muy decepcionada con su servicio a cliente.

Was referred to this bakery for making beautiful custom cakes. I requested to have music notes plus initials made in fondant.

When I picked up the cake neither the notes nor initials where in fondant and told Maria, that is not what we had discussed and that I could have written the notes and the initials myself —her exact words to me — then you should have done it yourself.

I work in customer service, I would never tell one of my clients — then do it yourself!

Furthermore, a gentleman tried to rectify the situation by taking the cake back and creating the initials JDN in fondant so last minute which I had to stand there and wait after placing my order way in advance.

When you create anything custom the true meaning behind it is to WOW who ever it is that you are trying to captivate UNFORTUNATELY this bakery and Maria’s perception of a custom cake did not WOW or meet my expectations! I am so disappointed that I have to display this cake on our sons birthday as I had no other option to make any changes last minute for another cake.

I am no expert in custom cakes, do not leave it up to Maria to assist you with your cake design, she too is not an expert in her field and she is also very rude! Find someone else if you don’t want to leave disappointed like...

Cesar is a very talented artist who is amazing to work with. He outdid himself once again for my husband and his twin sister’s 80th birthday celebration. SO fun to send him a list of things, meet with him while he sketched his ideas and then be totally blown away by the actual cakes, including a clock for each with their times of birth!

Cesar is passionate about baking and does amazing personalized cakes. He works with you on your ideas/inspiration and builds on it. Prompt delivery for my daughter’s baby shower and he made delicious macarons too! The theme was pink...

Their frosting calligraphy is beautiful but everything creamy in their base cake (Shadow Cake) is very salty and I find it hard to believe that anyone can fully enjoy this flavor. I hate wasting money and it hasn't made me physically ill so I will eat this overpriced nut-free cake but I would be embarrassed to serve this cake at any occasion. I understand now why they don't sell individual slices at this bakery. No one would ever buy the full size cake after...
