La Gladys Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Rye

Absolutely the worst service I’ve ever experienced. Went inside the restaurant wasn’t greeted by anyone, the table I sat at was not cleaned ( still left over food all over the table ). Food took forever to come, it was cold & was not cooked properly & that was just for the one appetizer we ordered. Waited about an hour for what we had ordered only for the waitress to come back to our table & ask what it was we ordered again. What an embarrassment & disappointment in their quality of customer service. Went to ask the waitress for the check since we no longer had any more patience, to find her just putting in the food we ordered about an hour ago. I have no clue what this employee went to do for an hour ( the restaurant was dead ) but that is not acceptable by any means. On top of everything that happened another waitress came by at the end when we got the check to pick up whatever was left of the appetizer only to give us more attitude. Throughout this whole situation my partner & I were very respectful towards the staff & their establishment. no apology or anything of that sort was said for the ridiculous wait, for the terrible quality of their food & atrocious customer service. It’s clear that this restaurant/establishment does not care for their customers or the quality service they provide, thus there being many bad customer service reviews. I will not be visiting this establishment ever again nor encourage any other person to either. Save yourself the headache & time. Seek...

If your not eating in and checking what your being charged for DO NOT ORDER TAKEOUT. WORST!!! To say the least. Who ever it is that answers the phone is always rude and gives you a price with a TAX price? How does that make sense. Tax is charged at the end of the transaction. Also when you ask them to repeat the order they get very bothered like if you don’t want to just double check. When I went to pick up my food they took out the green sauce that comes with my order because I was buying a side a order of green sauce because “those are complimentary and if I was purchasing they couldn’t let me have the complimentary ones” HOW DOES THAT MAKE SENSE?! Guys all I’m saying is always check your orders...

I really enjoy this place. You’d almost never know it existed because it’s smack in the middle of a residential area and it almost looks like someone’s home at least from the outside. There have been renovations done (I believe the last year or 2) and it’s quite larger and nicer than it was before on the inside. There are huge flat screen TVs everywhere you look. Unfortunately I don’t speak any Spanish and it seems the waitstaff is quite limited on English but there wasn’t any issues. It’s fairly simple to order. The place is clean and I believe so far they have the best Lomo Saltado at least in Port Chester but that’s just my opinion. Take it or leave it. The prices are decent and the food...
