I had a terrible experience with the staff. The cook took my order wrong two times. I received a spicy ceviche when I had ordered one non spicy. He packed me the wrong lunch another time and another day the forgot the rice. I called and talked to a cashier about these mistakes. At the beginning she was polite and undertanding, but after the second time she made a mistake and misundertood my order. I ordered other dish replacing the wrong lunch for something else and next day she packed me the "right lunch (from yesterday menu) plus what I have ordered instead" I went to the restaurant to pick up my replacement and she tried to charge for that, saying that I ordered something else plus the lunch. I explained to her that she misunderstood me and she got the nerve to tell me in a rude manner and yelling at me that from all the customer of the restaurant I'm the only one who complains, because no one else complains and I'm the problem!!! no the person who takes the order by phone!!!." I was very dissapointed about the service and the way they take care of customer's complains. I was a loyal customer since they openned because I live one block from it. But that's not all. Next day, I called and another lady told me that I can not buy there anymore because she says I'm not allow to order anything anymore. That's shocked me, because I speak spanish and all of them are spanish, so there is not a communication problem. They problem is that the cook shouldn't take orders because apparently he knows zero about it and the other problem is the way the cashier treats customers, making me feel guilty and treat me rudely when I complain about receiving the wrong orders or incomplete orders instead to apologize. I think the food is delicious unfortunately the staff does not have manner and does not treat customer with respect. I just really wanted to talk to the owner about it because I wouldn't recommend anybody to order anything over the phone, the...

I am a FURIOUS CUSTOMER. First of all HOrrible service. I ordered food from here which didn't come all. I had food missing. I didn't get a call from Uber since it ordered from UBER EATS. Instead they wrote inside the bag saying oh we don't have chicken. Most of you think they did the right thing. Guess what NO!! I work all day and I came home too tired to cook and hungry.
I wasted my time waiting for food that wasn't there. I called them and the had the audacity to say oh but we wrote you a note on your bag. & What about my wasted time and me hungry?
This is RIDICULOUS!!!
Now I had to ordered my food from somewhere else
But while I was waiting for my other food. I was eating the small appetizer which was SUPER SPICY
This isn't Peruvian food.
The exaggeration of spicy level is to the roof. Is Peruvian food people not Mexican.
I don't eat this level of spicy. Now I had to throw away the app to the garbage.

Saru is a cozy Peruvian Restaurant that serves classic Peruvian fare.
I ordered the fish ceviche and its one of the best ceviches I’ve had in a while. They interplay textures - the soft buttery fish topped with popped corn kernels. Its a masterpiece of a dish and you can clearly taste and see that they thought about how to make and present the dish.
I also ordered the lomo saltado and it was perfect. Its delicious, savory, salty and flavorful. You cant go wrong ordering this dish because it will leave you satisfied.
Of course I had to order the Peruvian Roast Chicken. And for me, this is the most bang for your buck meal that you can have. They serve massive portions of that chicken (even though I only ordered half) then served with french fries, salad and that green Peruvian sauce.
When you are hungry and in portchester, NY come visit this place. You will leave full...
