Lenny's Bagels — Restaurant in Town of Rye

first off I would like to say that my wife buys sandwich in the morning and one time she got what she did not order . my wife returned to the place upset after she got home . the owner was there and found out about the mistake and the wrong bread .she was given .he personally prepare the sandwich and did not charge my wife for it..as a courtesy. it was nice from the owner.so I did continue come to this place on 7/6/2019.unbelievable now a Dominican employee with a very bad aptitude who works there treat people with no respect and matters . she shows her teeth to the white people but with the Spanish people customer is totally despot and arrogant especially when the owner is not there , my wife did experience this bad aptitude and arrogance with this person. also my wife notice that when it was her turn for the order, my wife told her I dont want you to prepare the sandwich and then she started murmuring and making racial swords. Really unbelievable , I think the owner dont know what is happening and he should be aware about it and take care this matter as soon as possible , I am going to call him and see what is he is going to do...ill...

I come here because frankly they are the only place around that serves iced decaf coffee besides Dunkin Donuts. But their service is awful, there is always a line, no matter what time of day you come (so insufficient staff), and the staff will usually get something wrong. Today I ordered a chicken cutlet on a roll with mozzarella, lettuce and tomato, an oat bran bagel (not toasted with butter) and a double chocolate muffin. The server asked me if the sandwich was chicken cutlet on a roll with lettuce, tomato and mayo and i said, "No, mozzarella cheese, tomato and lettuce, no mayo, please." Needless to say my sandwich had no cheese on it. And my bagel - well it was a sesame seed bagel with no butter, not an oat bran bagel with butter. Additionally, their store closes at 3 pm. I walked in the door at 2:10 pm and as usual, the staff is cleaning furiously, preparing to close, while three people are in line ordering and more people are coming in the door. So are you open until 3 or are you...

They're too inconsistent. Sometimes the bagels are soft and they pack the bagel full of what you ask. Other times the bagels are hard and they skimp on it. Lox are very inconsistent. For $10 they will sometimes give me an adequate amount in my bagel, but other times I get home and am disappointed to find a sliver of lox. Just be consistent for once.

UPDATE: I still come here because I love the bad boy bagel. By 9:30am it was barely fresh. Cmon Lennys!

UPDATE 2: Gave then one last chance because I was really feeling a bad boy with veggi cream cheese. It's Saturday at 10am. There's no possible way the bagels won't be fresh right? Unfortunately this will be my last visit. The bagel untoasted was hard as a rock. Was probably made the day before. Surprised I didn't chip a tooth. But at least the veggi cream cheese is great, except they gave me plain and only on one side of the bagel. Oh and the tomato was the runt end. Sorry guys. I...
