This place is absolutely amazing! I never have an issue with service here. Counter workers are always extremely respectful and helpful to get you exactly what you want. Delivery drivers are always on time or even early and very personable. But don’t even get me started on the pizza and food! You can’t go wrong with a single option here. I HIGHLY recommend the Pineapple Express pizza. The Mango Habanero chicken is DELICIOUS and the pineapples complement it perfectly. I never thought pineapple should go on pizza until I came across this pie. The Penne Ala Vodka is also very good. Nice and creamy vodka sauce with the perfect taste!! DEFINITELY the best pizza place around in all facets. I’ve seen they have some awards on the wall as well which is pretty cool! If you haven’t tried Slices then I’d definitely give it a shot! And if you’ve had a bad experience here then definitely give them another chance! Everyone makes mistakes, but it is very rare...
Read moreThought this place would be good with all the good ratings but it seems the people who own this place are not italian with how mediocre the food was. Penne ala vodka is just basic penne that tasted like regular red sauce with a hint of heavy cream. There was no flavor or prosciutto. Gordon ramsey would be appalled. 17$ is a little pricey for basic pasta. Got a plate of spaghetti & meatballs but they had no flavor and the sauce also tasted like it came from a jar. The alfredo was good. Sadly, we all got a really bad stomach ache an hour after eating and it continued into the next day. I spent all night in the bathroom. My stomach still hurts… really disappointed but they do offer coupons which is cool. If youre looking for a good vodka sauce, this is not the place. Save your money. I normally dont write bad reviews but all of the ones on here are positive and i just dont get...
Read moreThis is a small pizza and italian restaurant, on Partition St, off Main St, in Saugerties Village, with some of the best pizza I've ever experienced in my life. I spent most of my adult life living just off Bleecker St in Greenwich Village and the original Papa John's, with the grandfathered in coal oven that left soot on your fingers, was just down the street. "Slices" pizza crust is close, without the coal oven "flavor", but their toppings would make Papa John flip in his grave. But they are just wonderful! Try the Vegan with firm but nicely cooked broccoli, sweet peppers, onions, black olives, chopped tomato, artichoke hearts on which I have added mozzarella cheese and sausage. To die for; somebody please shoot me in the back. Pappa John just might. Their other dishes are very good good, if not excellent, a clear cut above most...
