The Beer Store II — Restaurant in Town of Saugerties

I went in to ask if the take bottle returns. The man behind the counter at first said no, then said let me see. So we walked out to car and he said he would take them. He didn't even hold the door as I struggled with 3 bags of sorted, cleaned and counted cans and bottles. I brought them to the back and told the guy how many total. He said, "tell the guy upfront". I walked up front, told him the count and he walks to the back, grabs the bag and gets another bag. I assured him I counted them twice, and wrote the total on the bag. He then said he didn't believe my count. I said, I'm not going to lie for $3.00. I was horrified being called a liar and he told me to take my bags and leave. I have MS, and just walking, carrying the bags, and opening the door to get inside, then walking to the back 4 times and add the stress and I was put in a flare. He could've just said they didn't take bottle returns. Horrible!! I'll never go there...

Friendly, helpful, attentive staff that will load your vehicle for you in the outfront...

Good selection but rude owner. Bought a case of Fosters and a 6 pack. Carrying the fosters in one hands and the 6 in the other - go 3 steps and the case of Foster handle rips and half the bottles fall to the floor & break. No offer of help or to replace what broke. Told me I should’ve used two hands to carry the case. Umm little busy carrying...
