Bitute57 — Restaurant in Town of Smithtown

🚫 Dangerous Facility, Horrible Management, and No Accountability I’ve been a loyal customer of La Delicias de Mi Tierra in Brentwood for over 18 years, bringing them lots of business. That’s why my experience at Bitute 57 in Hauppauge was especially disappointing. A staff member used a hazardous side door to let us in. It had no warning signs and caught my daughter’s brand-new UGG shoe, ripping it nearly in half. She fell and injured her wrist, and the staff and owner didn’t even care. The owner was rude, cold, and dismissive, blaming the concrete instead of taking any responsibility. The food was mediocre and overpriced, and despite all of this, I still left a $15 tip. This place is not just unsafe, it’s run by people who don’t care about their customers — even loyal ones. I’m taking legal action, but until they learn to treat people with respect, I strongly urge others to avoid this place.

Llevo más de 18 años siendo cliente de La Delicias de Mi Tierra en Brentwood, y he recomendado ese lugar a muchos amigos y familiares. Por eso, lo que vivimos en Bitute 57 en Hauppauge fue aún más doloroso y decepcionante. Durante nuestra visita: Usaron una puerta lateral peligrosa para dejarnos entrar. Esa puerta atrapó el zapato UGG nuevo de mi hija, lo rompió casi por completo y ella cayó al suelo, lastimándose la muñeca. No había ningún letrero que indicara que esa puerta era de emergencia. El personal y el dueño fueron fríos, groseros y completamente indiferentes. En lugar de pedir disculpas o preocuparse, el dueño culpó al concreto, como si no tuviera ninguna responsabilidad. Mi hija tiene una discapacidad, y aun así nadie mostró compasión por su dolor ni su bienestar. La comida fue regular, cara y no valió la pena. A pesar de todo, dejé $15 de propina por respeto, pero el trato fue inhumano. Como madre, me siento triste, herida y decepcionada. I don’t really write reviews but I think this place 100% deserves it. Been pretty much all the Peruvian places in Suffolk county area and Bitute is by far the best one. The decoration of the restaurant is super cute, and the food is amazing!!! flavor is rich and the presentation is Instagram worthy, and the service is outstanding. Our server tonight was Fernando and he was so patient with my family, I really appreciate him taking the time answering all their questions and making sure we were all good and satisfied with our experience. I already made this my new Peruvian spot and I would def be coming back here to try the rest of the menu! I recommend you do...

Honestly this is my fifth time coming here and first things first, the food is great ! Coming from a Peruvian, the food is awesome, very authentic. I’ve known the owners for years and always gone to their deli in Suffolk Ave. this restaurant does not disappoint. When I go dine in, there’s no wait and the food comes out fast.
