Very Disappointed in Branchinellis. I'm a long time customer of over 20 years and my visit for takeout Friday was horrible. The new policy is they make customers wait in a line outside to pick up your take out, including in the rain apparently. OK, fine, met some nice neighbors also waiting in the rain. My turn to get inside and pick up and I walked to the counter only to get scolded by a young man saying "go wait outside, I didn't see you waiting!" I said, "Yes I did wait 20 minutes outside after you told me on the phone my order will be ready in 15 minutes." He said "NO! You weren't called up to the counter either!" I said, "You called next and I was next in line." He looked at me like I was a criminal then asked for my name. Now, he cant find my order. I looked at the man who I assume is the Manager and he comes over, he said "what's the problem?" I said "He cant find my order and harassed me for 5 minutes accusing me of not waiting on line and I did! Can I get my order now? He cant find my order either. He told the boy to get a plain pie! I didn't order a plain pie!My order was over $60 and they must have given it to someone else who waited in the rain. After 45 minutes of waiting, I said forget it! The Manager says, Good! Forget it! No apology, No courtesy, No appreciation to a long time customer.
So if you are in the mood to wait outside for an order you never get after 45 minutes and like to be mistreated and have your integrity questioned and spend your hard earned money without appreciation or respect, go and enjoy. I will be going to the many other great Pizza places near here instead. Obviously they don't need my money.
PS. My Daughter went with her friend for pizza after school a week ago. They gave her a slice in a box and told her and her friend she can't eat there at a table at 3 in the afternoon. So she walked with her boxed slice to sit on a bench to eat it cold by Shoprite. Nice management right? Obviously they don't appreciate anyone's...
Read moreYesterday I hosted an office party for our wonderful employees at Echo Electronics Inc in Hauppauge. We have 12 employees and this party was somewhat last minute. I called Branchinelli's in Hauppauge at 11 am to place a catering order for 12:30 the same day. They were extremely helpful over the phone making sure I didn't over or under order and had a great array of food for the party. At 12:30 I picked up the food and when I brought it back to our office, as I was unloading the food from my truck when a gust of wind caused the box holding the 8-10 pounds of chicken franchese off the bed of my truck and all over the parking lot. In a panic I called Branchinelli's and explained to them that I lost all of the main coarse to the lunch and I requested their help. The manager got on the phone and without hesitation and without me even finishing said "don't worry we will replace the dish AT NO ADDITIONAL COST"!!! And added "we want to make this right for you and your employees". He said the kitchen wouldn't be able to whip up a replacement tray of chicken franchese in a speedy time, so he offered us a tray of chicken parm as a replacement and said it would be ready to pick up in 10-15 min. I ran back over to Branchinelli's in 15 minutes and the replacement tray was on the counter ready to go! The staff at Branchinelli's was extremely helpful and polite and everyone there saved the day for our luncheon. Everyone at the party was so happy with all of the food and there was just a small amount of leftovers it was that good. Thank you so much to everyone at Branchinelli's Hauppauge for your excellent service and your amazing food. I will always be going to Branchinelli's for our catering needs (as well as their amazing pizza)!!! 5 star food and...
Read moreBranchinelli's doesn't look like much on the outside but that whole, "don't judge a book by its cover" proverb fits quite well in this regard.
Speaking of which, if I am to partake in Italian dining, I figured what better book to read here than 'The Godfather'? "Leave the gun, take the cannoli." I was actually going to order a cannoli until I saw the price of my meal: Chicken Parmigiana with Ziti alla Vodka. Next time I'll order a cannoli though. Even though the prices are higher than what I'm used to, the portion sizes are very large, larger than another pizza place I frequent. That Chicken Roll was almost the size of a small chicken. It made the other pizza place's Chicken Roll look like a hot dog in comparison.
I never had Chicken Parmigiana so I have no other experience to compare it to but it's definitely my new favorite dish and I will be asking for it at the other pizza places I frequent to see if they can measure up to the standard of Branchinelli's. I did get a Chicken Roll to go, which is what I usually get at the other places, but I also can't give a good enough review of that since I ate it a day later, not fresh. The portion sizes are so large that I ate the Chicken Parmigiana and Ziti for both lunch and dinner.
Regarding the wait time and staff: no complaints from me. I didn't have to wait too long for my meal and the staff was friendly and patient. The atmosphere was welcoming and you didn't have that feeling you have at some places where you want to just get your food and get out as quickly as possible. It was a relaxing enough environment to enjoy reading in.
I definitely recommend this place and I will be returning soon...
