We rented a one bedroom suite with a sofa bed. The room had a small kitchen and I really liked how the bedroom door closes for privacy. The bathroom was inside the bedroom which I didn’t like and the sink was outside the bathroom too. There was a fridge and a dishwasher with all the kitchen essentials needed for a short trip. We asked for more blankets and toothbrushes and they brought them to us. We were also given a bag of ice when we needed it. The breakfast was not the best but we made do.

I was very pleased with our 2 day stay. Came to catch a flight out of JFK & relax before our flight to Thailand. I was given a great room with a free upgrade during our stay because of my Marriott rewards. Breakfast was free and really enjoyed it. The first morning we each had scrambled eggs w/crispy bacon a boiled egg with an (I) an English muffin and she had a cinnamon raisin bagel.

The hotel is really nice n clean, the staff is extremely nice n they are all very helpful. The free breakfast had pretty much everything n anything you could want for breakfast. The only 2 complaints we had was the bed in our room was very very uncomfortable n the pool was absolutely freezing that the kids only went in it for not even a whole minute, which was really disappointing.

Not sure if the guy at the front desk who falsely charged me a smoking fee is still there but this post is about my terrible experience with mostly that employee during a stay i had there a while back.

I went to stay couples nights for a wedding. A rather moderately known celebrity who shall not be named had legally possessed smokeables. I was asked to roll some of them by this person for later that night to obviously be smoked outdoors.

We were in my hotel room, and i get a knock for wedding goodiebags, which i received a call about 20 minutes prior letting me know they'd be coming. I open the door and its the guy from the front desk with the wedding goodiebags, and he immediately says "he can smell us smoking". I ascert firmly "No, no one would smoke in here." We never smoked in that hotel room nor did we intend to. He says "ok, so let me come in and see". I invite him literally giving the arm gesture people associate with "come right this way". I'm expecting him to see it right on the table, with 0 evidence of anything being smoked. He comes in the room, sees the small amount of smokeables clearly laid out next to papers, no ash, no smoke, no "butts" no evidence of any smoking whatsoever, they werent even rolled. It may as well have been the equivalent of seeing a couple unsmoked cigarettes that had been ripped open sitting on the table. Just smokeable material and paper on a table that has yet to be smoked. He points to it on the table and says "you're smoking, thats a smoking fee". I respond "i'll get it out if you'd like, but having it isnt smoking it." To which i immediately scooped it up, walked out ahead of him, and went to roll them inside a vehicle. He didn't even respond. I shouldn't have even bothered to volunteer my nice side. HE STILL CHARGED THE FEE, about 18 hours prior to me leaving the hotel. The scent from possession of it lingers like a weak cologne, perfume, food or any other scent, and would verifiably be gone later that night, mere hours after being told i was smoking in the room, to 4 different non-smoker noses that i asked to smell the room.

I shouldn't have to try and speak sense to someone at the front desk for so long. I shouldn't have needed to call my card company. I shouldn't have to be compensated. I shouldn't have to write this 1 star review...

I was compensated for this fee, NOT BY THE HOTEL, but the fact remains this event SHOULD NEVER HAVE OCCURED. I genuinely feel disgusted by that front desk employee.

Possessors of smokeables who stay here...

I had two suits, one, one bedroom with one dog and the other, with two bedrooms three people and two dogs The second suite with two rooms also had an art table and easels set up as well as a video editing office and as if that wasn’t enough we had four guitars and amps and video equipment since we have a few business all run from our home that now needed to have a place to run while we’re out of the home. This stay was incredible we lived in the hotel for an entire year and while our world outside the hotel was upside down inside it was made easy and fun The hotel has a pool and a gym as well as an outdoor BBQ hang out, the staff at the front desk were on 24/7 for any of our frivolous needs and there were a few I’m sure. My son had to catch a school bus from here it took him an hour and a half before he had to be in school and anytime he was not down stairs for the bus the staff would call to make sure he was coming down they didn’t have to do this but again it was something that set them apart Breakfast is served here and the morning breakfast was always well maintained clean and fresh and for those days we slept in we enjoyed cooking in our room one room had a full Kitchen that they stocked with utensils and other cookware we had a stove top and an oven dishwasher microwave toaster etc the second room a little smaller had a small stove top dishwasher microwave so we were able to cook dinner on most nights. Monday Tuesday and Wednesday nights were mixer nights the hotel would offer a happy hour with wine soft drinks and snacks All of the ladies that cleaned were all friendly loved sharing stories and always came with extra loving for my three dogs oh did I mention the hotels pet friendly All of the rooms were very clean and were well maintained by the staff and the three or four times in the year that we lived there that we needed maintenance they too were awesome and quick. oh, by the way they showed up immediately unlike the contractors working on my house I could go on but I will end with this I have travelled all over the country and even to some countries out of the US and I have stayed in four star hotels here and around the world and still you can not beat the staff working here they make the experience beyond a pleasure my only wish is that the decore needs a little updating and I wish they had a party room but it’s clean and the facilities are clean and the staff is beyond friendly and helpful one of the best...

Your Residence Inn Long Island Hauppauge location is one of the best Marriott locations we have ever stayed in because the staff is so wonderfully accommodating, business customer service oriented AND very significantly I received no complaints from my team members.

Our group consists of 10 traveling members, who spend most of our year on the road for television production. Our accommodation needs are varied and extremely significant to results regarding the comfort and convenience of our stay, efficiency of our logistics and personal happiness receiving Marriott Bonvoy points.

Regarding our stay, your rooms are spacious and work well for long visits and our business/production needs. For example, we are appreciative of the complimentary high speed Internet access during our stay in reasonable priced guest rooms. Additionally, allowing us to use the locked/secure Conference Room was a huge, crucial bonus and our crew was able to keep and sort their expensive gear at the beginning and end of the day.

The most impressionable observation is your Front Desk team is exceptional, attentive, expeditious and favorably responsive with intelligent leadership from Marjorie Monty.

I personally interacted with Robert the most because he answered the phone very, very early in the morning and very, very late at night. He was incredibly calm and helpful with answers and I assumed he had similar 16-hour work shifts with us. This may sound trivial, but it is not…many times he personally locked and unlocked the crew door for us – no small feat because we also store the vehicle keys in the room and many of us were entering and exiting the room frequently.

Dylan also provided great support including checking- in a few of us, distributing our mail and packages personally bagging ice for us that we could put in our vehicle craft coolers for the day. He also let me know about package shipments. etc.

Bree identified, received, and gave me a package from eBay, originally delivered elsewhere, but someone must have driven to the hotel. She also made sure I had a FedEx delivery, minutes after the arrival the package containing of my passport.

Valerie was helpful during our quick departure, helping us with various requests. She helped with some items we intentionally left behind both in the Conference Room and for a prop rental pick up.

Prior to staying, Thema was very accommodating in noting all of our...
