#1 food is too salty. Terrible delivery service. If the girls behind the counter stop socializing while at work you just might get the right order . This is not the first time either. First thing I order was a baked ziti dinner . A chicken parm dinner , that dinner came with a salad . And a 2 liter coke . I ordered 3 items . The driver shows up , no 2 liter coke . Please go back and get it then I’ll pay you . Comes back with the coke . Pay him give him a $4 tip . I go inside open my order . Guess what No baked ziti . So I call back they blame it on the girl that took the order. Charge me for the second dish , The Baked Ziti . No tip this time . And if he don’t have exact change he can go back and get it . I’ve given the guy extra in the past too cause he don’t have change . Plays the language barrier thing . I’ve seen him in the store . No language barriers. Time to hit Linda’s Pizza down at the river . They never mess up an order and less salty too . I don’t mind traveling a little further for better service and better food. Just noticed the linguine was not with the chicken parm dinner . The driver who I just gave a $4 tip seemed to have an attitude now . Came back with my Baked Ziti , told him to the linguine was missing too . Got an eye roll . Said didnt want it at this point . Been doing business here for years . I’m switching Linda’s Pizza 🍕 By the River . Food tastes excellent too . Just have to travel for better...
Read moreGino’s of Kings Park is where God took a smoke break and dropped a slice on Long Island. Tucked into a nondescript strip mall on Indian Head Road, the place looks like every other pizzeria until you step inside and the smell hits. Garlic, tomato, mozzarella. It’s like Sinatra’s ghost is cooking back there after a few drinks.
The vodka slice is the sweetheart. Sauce so rich it could buy a condo in Boca and cheese that melts like the last good decision you made. Then there’s the chicken alla vodka parm hero, which sounds like someone lost a bet and accidentally created something glorious. You don’t eat it so much as wrestle it into submission and let it destroy your dignity bite by bite.
They do vegan pies if you’re into self-punishment or dating someone who is. Respect. The crust holds up either way. That’s what matters in life and in pizza.
Decor? Who cares. You’re not there for ambiance. You’re there because you need something real, hot, and served in a paper tray. The staff moves quick. They know the look of a man who skipped lunch and just got dumped.
Gino’s isn’t fancy. It’s honest. It will clog your arteries and warm your heart. You’ll eat too much and wonder why you don’t come here more often. Then you’ll come...
Read moreI’m so disappointed to have to do this. We ordered from Gino’s and ate there all the time for years in Kings Park. Every time we order now, even if asking for things “not well done” — mostly everything is burnt. Even when we purposefully order at a quiet time for them, it’s burnt. I ordered a panini this time hoping maybe it was just the pizza that’s a problem — that was also burnt and blackened. The edges of the chicken are crisp. I’m sad because this is likely a pretty simple fix and it’s been this way for many months now. I don’t know if it is the cooks or understaffed or what, but someone there is burning stuff. Even my neighbors have the same experience with their pizza. Such a shame because the pizza was so good! I hate leaving negative reviews, but since this can be fixed, I’m hoping it’s received as constructive. We love you, Gino’s! We had the lunch for my grandma’s funeral there and everything. Hopefully this...
