Visited Tony's a few months ago with a group of 9 (4 couples and a single). We've had dinner at Tony's as the same group a few times before and were very happy with our meals and the service. This time however we were all very disappointed with service. We requested separate checks as most couples were paying different ways..a couple with cash, the other with credit cards. We were able to have separate checks on our other visits. The waitress was adamant that we couldn't because there were more than 8 people. It wouldn't have been a separate check for each person. Needless to say at the end of the meal we had to circulate the check and use a calculator to figure how much each couple owed. This "rule" is ridiculous and inconvenient. Not all parties split the check by however many couples are in the group. The other issue is the smart aleck response I got from the waitress when I complained about the fruit flies buzzing in my wine glass. She simply said 'Oh, that happens' and walked away. I paid for a wasted glass of wine. A good waitress would have offered another glass or comped it off the bill. I know I should have requested it but I was angry and didn't want to cause a problem. It's been a while since last there but i am planning dinner there this week with a friend so I'll see...
Read moreTraveled 45 min to patronize this business for my son’s 26th birthday and spent $186 while there only to have our waitress, Adine, complain and talk about my grandkids’ behavior to another customer of hers. We overheard her tell another table to look at my grandkids and compared them to the couple’s “well-behaved” child (as she put it). Very inappropriate and disrespectful. When confronted by me, she admitted she did exactly what we thought we overheard her do. She had an attitude and rudeness to her from the time we sat down. Yes, my grandkids, ages 2 and 4, were playing around our table and enjoying our company, but never once did they interfere with her or her coworkers’ service to others there. It was their first day at Pre-K and a new babysitter so they were a bit more energetic tonight.
When I asked for the manager, it took forever for “someone” who I can’t confirm to be a manger, to come to our table. Not sure of his name, but he didn’t give me the impression he was concerned or knew how to handle the situation as a manager would have.
Needless to say we won’t be back and I won’t recommend this...
Read moreVery nice ambiance... that I would give a 5. But the food, I would give a 1 or a 2... which is why the 3 star rating.
If they focused more on making legitimate Italian food and less on the resort-like decor, maybe it could be upgraded to a 4 star, but neither my co-worker nor I were remotely impressed by the food.
I got chicken fettuccine alfredo, and I would swear the noodles were more akin to the egg noodles you buy at any supermarket for chicken noodle soup. They were longer to match the length of what fettuccine noodles should look like, but they were NOT real Italian noodles or even a good replica.
The alfredo sauce was thin and barely recognizable as an alfredo. My friend's brocolli was almost entirely raw and her penne was not even close to al dente.
Someone in management offered to re-make hers as she is the type that would say she was disappointed, but yeah, overall, if you had let either her or I cook up our own Italian meal in the kitchen (and we arent italian or even trained chefs), both she and I could have made a tastier dish.
Two Thumbs...
