Papa Jack's Ice Cream — Restaurant in Town of Victor

I really don't like leaving negative reviews unless something really terrible happened, and it's not really terrible, but unless you're a local who has really fond memories of this place, it's better to take your $5-6 somewhere else (and they're cash-only, which is fine, but certainly inconvenient for larger groups of people.) I got a milkshake with hard ice cream (which is extra), and it was effectively chocolate milk. They use Perry's ice cream here, so that money could just get you a whole quart at the grocery. And it's classic to employ local high schoolers, which is nice and traditional, I'm sure, but for the 3 of us, we had to ask to be helped, and it was hard to ask questions about the menu. For non-White people: I did not feel safe here at night. This amount of money could get you in-house made ice cream or gelato at Pittsford Farm Dairy, the gelato place on the canal, Moonlight Creamery, the gelato place by Riki's, Cheshire Farms in Canandaigua, etc. I'm sorry to leave such a review, and I did appreciate their clear COVID policies and outdoor seating, but regrettably this was my experience the last few...

Me and my husband waited at the outside window for what seemed like forever as multiple teenage employees made eye contact with us and ignored us. Finally a girl comes up to the window and completely ignores us and waves over to the couple behind us who was clearly a highschool classmate and friend. Me and my husband looked at each other wondering if we were invisible. The employee then starts talking to the other couple saying “I got a $20 bill from some old dude” to which they replied “oh did you flirt with him?” And proceeded to talk about how apparently a 15 year old girl was talking dirty to an older gentleman. We FINALLY get our order taken and I think they gave us larges when I asked for mediums because they straight up gave us like 3 pints of ice cream.

I get that they are teenagers and it’s just a summer job and that they probably just don’t care, I get it. But ignoring a customer to talk about inappropriate topics with your friend while you’re giving them free ice cream isn’t the best impression you should make at...

Made a stop after a game with my kid. The staff clearly did not want customers coming in. They were impatient and rude. Given we had never been there before, our “decision making” was too slow. There was no one in line behind us either. I did not see the rush. The looks given to us and the annoyed face when I tried to pay with a credit card (they only accept cash) was discouraging. I didn’t notice the cash only sign on the register, since they rushed to give us our ice cream and told me the total. Paying by cash was not a problem for me.

I heard them say that they can’t close early since because people are coming in. It was 9:00 PM and hours posted were 10:00 PM (Google said 9:30 PM). I have worked many years in customer service and I know better than to say my opinion out loud in front of customers. It was very uncomfortable and I hope management does a better job with weeding those not suited for CS jobs.
