Patsy's sixth and latest location…this review is a big one for me because I haven't gone to Mecca in East Harlem yet: Patsy's in Wappingers!
First, right out the gate: it's a great pie. Go now. I'm definitely coming back with friends to get the regular plain. I took 20 minutes second guessing (after eating most of this pie) if I should've ordered the other one—I was just short on time. It's so worth coming back for. l'Il probably go to the Nanuet location next time.
So what's up? This pie's got a great crust. It's light, see through thin, delicate to chew, and coal oven charred without getting into Sally's Apizza char territory. I like that because there's an argument to be made that that's too much. I've read pamphlets thicker than the tip of this slice. This is how you do ultra thin pizza.
They don't mention using San Marzano tomatoes but these tomatoes are quality. Tangy yet leaning more toward natural sweetness than sour. So good you don't even need herbs to season it. Sauce is milled to a petite diced chunk. I like when I can see tomato.
Mozzarella on this pie is quality, creamy fresh mozzarella. Not that plasticky semi-hard stuff that doesn't melt in your mouth. There are shards of parmigiana all over on top of finely placed basil you get in every bite.
It's a tasty, flavorful pizza that looks nice even just aesthetically. The spot on East Main St. is nice. It is date night pizza. Because you won't feel bloated after even a few slices and it’s a nice menu with a bar, wine, and liquor. I wanted to impress the family daughter and walk back in a order a second pie. If you think Fishkill/Wappingers is just strip mall hell, their downtowns buck that trend.
Last word on the pizza, you know I go for sourdough, aerated crusts with crispy, charred open crumb corniciones. This defies all that and just serves as a great crust to deliver the cheeses and sauce. It's the best ultra thin crust I've had.
It's crust is best compared to Johnny's Mount Vernon. And if you know pizzeria history, they're connected. Although this crust won't hold a handle to that one for the crisp-heads—it's not exceptionally crispy like Johnny’s yet there's no flop the whole way through. But that lack of crispy crunch the whole tip to toe matters less to me because this pizza is just more flavorful than Johnny's.
If I were being less overly respectful in that review, and this is blasphemy as a Westchester boy, I would've scored Johnny's lower than the 8.3 I think I gave it, using the Barstool Scale....

My family normally does the normal Italian family Christmas Eve dinner out due to my in the line of duty injury’s as the holidays quickly approaching in the new world norm of small businesses closing due to the pandemic. This years dinner will have to move locations so we went to pat’s tonight to try a new place to hopefully make that our new place.
Called in advance to make a reservation being it is a small place and with limited seating I figured it would be busy on a Saturday night. Luckily I did we had a 6pm reservation we walked in gave our name and were promptly seated. The waitress got the drink and food order very quickly. Her costumer service was a breath of fresh air she was very knowledgeable and helpful with our questions. The courses came out perfectly spaced the meal was hot and delicious. The staff was very quick with anything that we needed during our dinner. While dining here make sure to save room for dessert because there amazing.
To me a lot of places have amazing food and fast service which are what you would hope for in every establishment you eat at. The things that set a restaurant above and beyond is the atmosphere and staff, the atmosphere there was warm and quaint. With a friendly quality staff
Or waitress wow I could not say enough about Teuta she was friendly and professional and made us feel like a part of her family. I could sit here and just keep going on on how wonderful she was.
Asked if they were doing Christmas Eve dinner will have to see if covid will be allowing us to have dinner at our new Christmas Eve spot.hopefully we will have teauto as our waitress that nigh. Thanks ta

Read moreWARNING!!! This place is not the same in quality nor customer service. It is evident that the new owner/manager is using the former Patsy’s reputation to lure in customers. I came in today with my family and I noticed something a bit off because the owner is usually there with his daughter as this used to be a family owned establishment. I asked one of the ladies about the usual staff and she said that it’s the same owner same chefs but just under new management. Let’s be frank, everyone knows that “new management” is code for new owners thus new dynamics. Despite my hesitation I stayed and ordered three pies. The last pie was unsatisfactory as it was soggy (although I asked for extra crispy), lacked the taste and appearance of vodka sauce although advertised as such, and the chicken tasted undercooked. I informed the woman who stated she was the manager that I thought the pie was horrible and she had the audacity to scornfully respond “I knew you weren’t going to like the food because we’re under new management”. Clearly needs to work on customer service skills and not take customer feedback personally. In fact maybe if she was open to customer critic the food would be up to par. Keep in mind I had no complaints prior to the final pie and actually felt the first two pies were decent although not as good as the previous owners recipe. I won’t be back here - which is unfortunate because I used to really enjoy this place. Despite looking like Patsy’s it’s evidently not the same place when it comes to staff etiquette, customer service, and food quality. Another gem lost to capitalistic greed and...
