McDonald's — Restaurant in Town of Webster

So let me just preface this long review by saying I am not innocent here it was my absent mindedness that starred the chain of events I'm about to unfurl but I do not believe that even begins to excuse what happened next

So I went to this McDonald's at about 6:30 pm Tuesday evening 4-8-25. Just left work and wanted something quick to eat. It's business as usual they ask us to pull ahead since we wanted our sandwiches without McDonald's signature soggy lettuce, no big deal they're very busy I understand.

After waiting for about 10 minutes i decided I'd go in and see what's going on, maybe they forgot amidst the chaos. So I approach the left most counter where you normally pick up mobile orders. No one noticed me right away so I'm being patient waiting for one of them to pass by. That didn't happen so I did the logical next step and got Their attention, this is where my foolishness escalates the situation.

I had just left my job as i stated above, I work in the back room of a big box store, most of my day is opening and breaking down boxes with a box cutter. I had one in my pocket that I accidentally took home from work. I'm an extremely fidgety person and I had my box cutter in hand fidgeting with it when I was at the counter, I did not even register what I was messing with until I got an employees attention and noticed his eyes went directly to my hand. I immediately understood what was going on in his head and it was only then I realized how holding a box cutter while talking to someone could be interpreted. I was not gesturing or doing anything that could be interpreted as aggressive and as soon as I realized my stupid mistake I immediately put it away in my pocket and apologized profusely and tried to explain why I was in public with a box cutter and that I fully understand how that could be taken.

I thought that was the end of that I knew I messed up but nothing about me or my body language was hostile or aggressive, I abhor violence and I never ever raise my voice or make a scene in public that's just not who I am. I could hear the employee talking derogatorilty about me at first I brushed it off as a joke until he kept going just calling me all sorts of names and he's not even 2 feet from me. I'm not sure if he genuinely thought the pieces of wood with massive slats between them was soundproof but him and his coworkers were just being so foul and vulgar about me. Mind you the manager was in the group that was talking negatively about a customer within ear shot but it was at this point I got angry.

I loudly ask "do you really think i can't hear you?" At first they were kinda stunned I genuinely believe they thought I couldn't hear them and after a brief pause a 3rd employee who has absolutely nothing to do with this gets involved and is just cussing up a storm at me..I was not being silent I did not expect anything like this to happen but I wasn't just gonna let her speak to me like this. She's very young probably under 18, has braces so she's thinking she's some invincible teen and then she starts approaching me, hiking her pants up like she wanted to fight. I am a 6'4 27 year old male I absolutely will not lay a finger on this twig of a person even if she tried to stab me but I'm not keeping my mouth shut, I can't that's not me. I'm not saying anything like they were I was essentially just yelling give me my bleeping food and how I just can't believe the manager is just standing there letting an employee square up with a customer. If they actually thought I was a threat she would not be approaching this gigantic man who weighs triple what she does It's still not over cuz I still don't have my food by now I just want what i paid for so i could leave. Then I felt something hit my head. This employee through a cookie at me! At this point I'm just absolutely stunned, how could such a mundane task devolve into this??? Until she hit me with the cookie I was just gonna take my food and leave but once she did that I called the damn cops. I left after but this was my experience...

Absolutely abysmal! Also I would give zero stars if possible. Ordered curbside four meals Saturday evening. Showed up with my two grandchildren in the car to pick it up. Went to park in curbside and there were cones there but no explanation so I parked in drivethru pickup spot. Paid for order as instructed by the app, waited. Someone finally came out and said theres no curbside because of no employees. I have to get in the extremely long drivethru line! Whats the point of curbside then?? An HOUR later got to the speaker, explained my situation, was told to drive up to the window. When I got to the window they recited someone elses order and were dumbfounded when I told them I had a mobile order I have to pick up here. They told me I would have to re-order it at that time with them and then wait some more! Keep in mind I've already paid for my order. Asked if I can get a refund, said yes but I have yet to receive it, and drove off with nothing, except shocked and hungry grandkids. Went to Burger King, 3 minutes away, Got my order in and my food within 5 minutes!! Still waiting for contact from that management team to get a refund and for me to give them an earful.

-It is now the following Thursday afternoon. I contacted corporate over the weekend to try and get a refund. They responded Monday saying they are sorry and they have contacted the local franchisee to tell them they need to contact me for a refund and explanation. Not a word yet. Real important to them isn't it? She will probably post her usual response to me.

Update It is now almost two weeks later. Still no contact or refund from the owner or manager. And she has been been on this page a couple days ago and handed out her typical response. Completely amazing and mystifying that this is their...

Extremely disappointed in the staff tonight. I had made an online order consisting of the new happy meal (Cactus Plant Flea) which later I found out they didn’t have. So, instead they just gave me the sandwich, fries and my drink. Which I was okay with. But then the manager came over to the window and told me she would refund me for the ENTIRE meal since I didn’t get all of what I paid for. I explained to her at that time that I needed to add another meal exactly the same. She said quote “okay, that’s fine. We will make it on the house for you, instead of giving you the refund just pull forward and we will bring it out.” I respond by saying “thank you”. As I’m pulled forward she sends another employee out for my payment. At this point, I’m confused and frustrated. She first told me she was going to give me a refund, then she told me she was going to cover my additional food items either way was fine but the point is she didn’t do either. She came back out with the food that I ended up paying for and said “sorry, we are just really busy tonight otherwise I wouldn’t of charged you. You change your mind because your busy?
