Let me start off by saying we rarely go to Panera. We honestly love the food but the prices are WAY too much in general, let alone for what you get overall, so it’s become a once or twice a year thing for us when we want something tasty but just don’t want to make it ourselves.
Yesterday was one of those days. We ordered food via the app for drive-thru pickup. When we got there, we waited in line behind 3 other cars for probably about 15 minutes before anyone started moving. We’d already paid or else I probably would’ve ducked out like the car behind us did. Finally we got to the window and there was a bit more waiting before they brought the bag to the window.
All seemed good until we got home… and I realized the Turkey & Avocado BLT I ordered didn’t have ANY avocado on it. I called up the store & they offered to remake the sandwich. So I drove back out to get a new one. When I got there I was behind one car and sat waiting yet again… and once they finally moved & I pulled up to the window, no one came over for probably like 4-5 minutes. For a hot second I thought maybe they forgot I was sitting there waiting… again.
Finally the girl I spoke to on the phone came over and told me they were now out of the bread I originally ordered. Not a huge deal but just generally frustrating after all the waiting & missing one of the main ingredients on the first sandwich, and then having to drive all the way back out to get a new one. I gave an alternate bread & she said it’ll be made “perfectly” this time. And then offered me a cookie, and threw in two extra bags of chips & a pickle. Can confirm it was made perfectly the second time, so thank you for that! And the cookie was delicious (confirmed by all four of us who had some 😂).
Honestly because the girl I spoke to was so kind & empathetic, that’s what saved the experience. I didn’t catch her name, but she was so nice & I want her to know I appreciated her dedication to fixing...
Read morePaneras is always a good place to start your day, or lunch time, and evening a dinner A very good selection of items to choose from, assorted homemade bake goods, and a variety of drinks to enjoy with your meal.
The only change is service is off, for no one wants to work. And, with the turnover now in staff, it's not the Pancras of the old.
Kevin is now the new manager, and he's doing a great job. Service has improved, and on a cold afternoon or evening, enjoy the fireplace to warm you up.

The question posses to me was; " has Paneras gotten any better?"
Yes! Indeed Paneras continues to get better and better each new day. Just like our beautiful weather.
Manager, Kevin and staff, are like the Bills Mafia. Step in up step it up. 5 Stars
Sadly, Kevin left to go back to his contractors position. Dan is the new manager, and a very down to earth guy, customer service oriented. However, staffing this location, like many businesses, is getting harder.
Dan is the Man, whose's doing all he can, keeping up with Paneras and working with staff. This location is a great spot for the community as a whole. So, if you need a job, and enjoy good food and drink, call Dan to be interviewed. Tell him JerryIppy sent you. 2-24-24.
Stop in and check out the great summer selections, and better yet, pick one and enjoy the delicious...
Read moreI like the menu but the service in Webster is always spotty. Today I approached the order counter as the only staffperson walked away. After 4 minutes I used the automated order even though I had questions. Decided to only get a smoothie since no one was there.
No signage and no staff. Eventually found a screen near pickup counter that had my name under column titled "Preparing." After about eight minutes my name moved to "Ready" column. Walked up to pickup counter but no food. Two people walked past behind the counter and didn't make eye contact. Waited a couple minutes. Heard two employees joking and looked around corner. My drink sat on back counter in prep area. I asked for it and one of five staff moving slowly gave it to me- no apology, no smile.
Most unprofessional and poorly run place I've been to in a long time, maybe ever. Will never go to that Panera again. When all the staff walk away from their assigned positions and ignore customers so they can joke together while they are working, the staff are not the issue. The management doesn't care enough to do their job. Poor management means a host of problems, sometimes including unsafe food practices. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this one. Other Paneras are...
