Bennu Cafe — Restaurant in Town of Whitestown

Co workers and I had ordered lunch through Bennu as we have multiple times before.. except this time my food was loaded with someone’s hair who either prepped the food prior (if shrimp and or chicken is cooked prior to making any sandwiches that day) or was preparing my wrap. We contacted Bennu and informed them of the situation. We were met with staff over the phone who asked us to dissect our food to look for more hair for proof that we can bring in to show them before they even considered replacing our order and or refunding us. Fed up with the bull, we ended up just going into Bennu to bring back our orders that were contaminated with multiple hairs in the food. As we arrived, we were met by the manager of the shift, her name is Allie. When she asked if we were here for the remade sandwhiches, I informed her I had no interest in having another sandwhich that may have been tampered with and the attitude I was met with when we went in WITH OUR FOOD THEY REQUESTED WE BRING IN FOR “PROOF”. She was instantly dismissive and held a rude composure the entire time. Thankfully I didn’t take the food because at that point with how aggressive she was I had a feeling they may have done something to my wrap as retaliation. As someone who frequents this location constantly with coworkers for lunch, we will not be ordering from this business again. Absolutely unprofessional. If I was met with a bit of respect when asking for a refund vs “Allie” the manager arguing with us that they replaced the food so I’m guessing she didn’t think she’d have to give a refund. Hopefully this establishment can get a good grip on management before they turn away more customers with poor...

This is restaurant is the worst restaurant to deal with. The staff is rude all the time. I've tried to to give them several chances thinking maybe that girl is having a bad day. But after ordering several times, unfortunately your're dealing with the same snobby, rude attitude from the entire staff who act as if they do not need you and make it very clear. After giving you a time when your food will be ready, you will leave your office (during your break of course) and wait yet another 10-15 min on top of the 15-20 minute wait they gave you on the phone, now making you have to wolf your food down in the car on the way back to work because your lunch break is over. This has happened every time I've ordered for the last 5 times I've ordered there! I kept trying to give them an opportunity to redeem themselves but don't get it. Oh ya...Be sure to bring a flag and get rude to the staff socializing at the other end of the counter and even though someone in the group had seen you, they will not leave the group to wait on you for several minutes. This was the second time I came to Bennu, both times was at my wife's urging since she LOVES their ahi tuna salad.

First time I wasn't impressed and this time was worse. First off when we walked in and went to the counter there was no one there to greet us or take our order, so we waited probably for a minute or 2. Someone was heading our way and I thought, "Finally, someone to take our order"; but alas - they just said "we'll be with you In a minute". So we waited a little longer and then someone came and took our order.

We sat outside and the table was filthy, so we cleaned it ourselves. They don't really keep things clean and bussed like a normal restaurant.

This was one of my pet peeves the first time I went there - there's a lack of service. We asked for napkins and silverware and it seemed like a bother.

The food is good, but the service isn't great. I also used the restroom and there wasn't any soap! No SOAP...are you kidding me?!?! Embarrassing in my opinion.

Don't care for the overall feel and the food isn't good enough to overcome the major deficiencies they seem to have. Last time...
