Worst Hibachi spot I've ever been to. The decor is nice however they have no idea what good service is. Immediately upon entering the empty restaurant on a Wednesday afternoon, the hostess tells myself and my colleague we must wait for others to be seated at Hibachi table because they were not going to do Hibachi for just 2 people. Okay understood... We don't need the show anyway... We just want to eat so that brings us to...

Again, my colleague and I got to the restaurant approximately 2pm on a Wednesday afternoon to take advantage of the Hibachi lunch special found on their menu mon-sat 11:30am-3pm. Upon ordering the Hibachi salmon lunch special, I was told they are not honoring the price for the lunch specials. No explanation given. They just don't want to honor the price. I should've trusted my judgment and just walked out at that point but no... I figure we're here already, may as well get our food.

Food comes out and for the first time ever... I ordered hibachi and felt I didn't get my money worth. The food was bland. They did not include noodles and they were stingy with the portion.

As my colleague and I sat and talked after finishing our lunch, the hostess, waitress and busboy repeatedly interrupted or discussion to ask if we were ready to settle the check. Extremely rude and poor service. They finally got the hint when my colleague told them, "It's empty in here. And you guys are rushing us out?"

With or without coupon, I would not recommend this place. The Newburgh Iron Chef location is only a hair above this one service wise, but at least they given you a better option...

Unfortunately I have to give this place a 2 star rating. The food was decent but the staff and hospitality along with cleanliness was horrible. We had a 6:30 reservation for 12 people for my niece birthday and weren’t seated till almost 7:30. Every time we asked about the our table we were given the same excuse it was being prepared. Once we finally arrive to our table the grill wasn’t cleaned properly there were still food particles from previous party. Given COVID along with food allergies of our party it was an issue that we had to ask the chef to clean the grill again before he attempted to start the show. Once served our server never checked to see if we need drink refills ( which 4 out of my party did.) along with never cleared our empty plates. When my 4 year old had to use the restroom it was disgusting there was toilet paper and what we hoped was water everywhere all over the floor. My child almost slipped walking into the bathroom. One stall was complete covered in feces and full toilet. My husband went to men’s bathroom and stated it was just as bad but could confirm there was urine puddle by the urinal. Than to top off our experience the server never asked if we wanted to go boxes for anyone who had leftovers. Or never asked if we were interested in dessert prior to handing us our bill that was well over $200 dollars. The food may have been good but the service and cleanliness was appalling. Visited family Upstate and everyone was craving hibachi so we decided to try Iron Chef. My boyfriend and I arrived earlier then the rest of my family, so we asked the man in front (possibly manager) if it was okay to sit by the bar and order food. He replied rudely asking “aren’t you going to eat Hibachi?”. I said Yes, but we want to start off with some sushi and drinks if that’s okay??? We sat at the bar, ordered some sushi and a French Martini. The sushi was very good and my boyfriend loved his martini. Our family came and since not everyone (2 people) weren’t there yet he wouldn’t let us sit down, guy was weird and got into a little awkward thing with my aunt but we let it go and sat down.

At the table we ordered some more apps; we got the Rock Shrimp, Salmon Tapas, Crispy Tuna Rice, Spicy Tuna Roll, Angry Dragon, and a Tuna Avocado Roll. All were very good except the rice on the crispy tuna needed to have more rice it was super thin not enjoyable. For our main meals we got a mixture of filet mignon, shrimp, lobster, and chicken. With our meals they gave us fried rice, noodles, vegetables, and shrimp. Our chef was funny and entertaining. He cooked everything with extra garlic just like we asked him to. All our meals were delicious and tasty. Haven’t had good hibachi in a while so this hit the spot.
