Mr. Chick & Ms. Dimsum — Restaurant in Town of Yorktown

Ms. Dimsum: I'm very excited to see a dim sum place open in Yorktown! It's brand new, so very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful in identifying favorites and popular dishes so if you don't know what to order just ask. There are both indoor and covered outdoor seating areas. Everything is packed to go. The food was great! My favorite was the Shu Mai.

I advise parking across the street (unless you drive a compact car), small lot fits only 4 cars.

Other than just ordering appetizers at a chineese restaurant, the only dim sum I know is in NYC. I do hope they re-consider their pricing, prices are higher for dim sum than in NYC. I would return a lot more often.

Mr. Chick: I didn't quite get enough to eat at Ms. Dimsum on purpose because I also wanted to try Mr Chick, I opted for a Shrimp & Chicken sandwich, a combo that I have seen before, the flavor was great but I was not a fan of the texture. I will return and try...

First the positives. Ms. Dimsum is a brand new, beautiful restaurant with a cute outside place to eat. Food was decent, though my wife who is Japanese had the dumpling soup and thought it was only average.

Two main issues that will prevent us from returning- the price of everything was way way too much for a counter type/fast food restaurant. Rethink your pricing!! I can go to Pho 6 in Mahopac, be waited on, have real dishes and get more food for the same price as this.

The other area that was annoying was we dined in, but everything is bagged as if it was a take away joint. Cheap plastic containers for the soup and for my noodle dish. Why have a beautiful sit down area and charge so much for the food but offer no actual dishes to eat off off. Very tacky and not a very well thought out plan.

I'm a nyc food guy so to have a fried chicken and dimsum spot open up around my area made my life plenty easier.

I was skeptical at first about the price point but after trying it and seeing the quality of ingredients and execution, I believe it's worth it. The golden walnut shrimp and shrimp dumplings are tender and seasoned well, and the fried chicken is the best I’ve had in the area.

The vibe inside is clean and modern, the staff are friendly keeps the place tidy, and the outdoor patio is a great bonus when the weather’s nice.
