The Gramercy was by far one of the best modern American restaurant I have been to in the area. The vibe and the decor are really on point. Whether you are looking to do a romantic dinner for two tucked away in a cozy corner surrounded by beautiful lighting, celebrating a special occasion or just here for a drink and small bites, it’s absolutely perfect. The place it super cozy and simply chic. Now the food and service. My cocktail was okay. Nothing spectacular or wow about it. The service was little slow in the beginning. There were only two servers and they both seemed to have a lot on their hands. Before going in, I knew the appetizers would be tricky since it’s mostly seafood and choices are very limited. My husband doesn’t eat eggplant and seafood. So we had to order an entree as an appetizer. We would love to see the restaurant add some appetizers that are less seafood oriented. We ordered the beet and goat cheese salad, the salmon skewers ( entree ) and calamari and both were phenomenal. The portions are great and the flavor on every dish is amazing. For dinner, we ordered skirt steak which was cooked to perfection, the burger which was really good and the tagliatelle de cacio e Pepe with a side of Mac and cheese and ratatouille. The Mac and cheese was to die for and every dish stood out on its own. For dessert we ordered the grand marnier crème brûlée, carrot cake and the Nutella and smores pie. I have to say we were absolutely blown away by the presentation, service and the flavors in every dish. Would highly recommend this place and we ourselves cannot wait to be back here for...
Read moreI ate at this restaurant for the first time and I have to say the food is great by the service is terrible. I had reservations for 8:15pm but wasn’t seated until 8:40pm. While my party and I were waiting to be seated, we attempted to order drinks at the bar but the bartender told us to wait until we get our table. Once we were seated we put in our drink orders which took 20mins to get them. We put in our food order around 8:55pm and noticed they were taking some time bringing that out also. Our server notified us that the grill is not working but the food will be out shortly. At 10pm our food finally arrives. It took them an hour to bring us our food, by then we were just ready to leave. I will say the food was excellent. When it comes time to pay the bill, they didn’t comp us on anything. Had to wait 25 mins to be seated even though we had reservations, got denied drinks at the bar, took them 20 mins to bring us our drinks after we ordered them and had to wait an hour for our food. I also want to add the manager was aware of us waiting for our table, he kept coming by as so did the hostess, saying your table will be ready in 10 mins. Don’t know if I would give them...
Read moreWe went for the second time tonight and we have to say there hasn’t been anything in Yorktown like this. The decor is beautiful, the seating and booths are comfortable and nicely spaced out. The service is wonderful! You’re warmly greeted upon entering, and you never have to wait to be tended to. The menu is primarily French with some Italian and it’s all exquisitely prepared. We had king mushrooms over Brussels sprouts and couscous; the crab hush puppy and the endive and crispy duck- all luscious! Our entrees were the papparadelle with artichokes and chicken cutlet; double cut Berkshire pork chops and the duck cassoulet. They were all made with the finest ingredients and prepared with a high degree of expertise. The portions are all very large, but more importantly, it’s all of the finest quality. The service was professional and courteous. For 3 of us, with an app, an entree and a dessert the check was only $140! That’s a bargain for gourmet food in a beautiful setting in Westchester County! We can’t wait to go back with more family and friends. We may have found our new...
