Our Place Kitchen & Bar — Restaurant in Town of Yorktown

My mom and I came across this place - we were looking to go to Furci’s for lunch and saw that it had closed and Our Place is now there. We decided to try it for lunch this weekend and everything about our experience was perfection. We had a long and pleasant conversation with one of the owners and could not believe they have only been open for a few months! The passion and love of the owners and staff is clear in everything about this restaurant. The location is perfect for a romantic date night or a cozy lunch - somewhere you could sit for hours and enjoy. The menu is beautiful with a great variety but not too large so diners are not overwhelmed. My mom and I tried the steak sandwich and grilled chicken sandwich - so delicious!! Sweet potato fries - perfection. Great drink selection of local beers, wine, and cocktails. I’m a beer gal so always love finding a new one to enjoy - Bluepoint lager on point! They have a great outdoor seating area as well - looking forward to that when the weather is warm. We immediately felt welcomed and comfortable when we entered the restaurant- we ended up staying for almost two hours - a wonderful afternoon weekend lunch on a rainy day. Our cozy, comfort place closed after the pandemic unfortunately so we have been looking for a place with the same feeling and delicious food since, our go-to. I think Our Place is it! I look forward to returning and trying the other items on the menu. With so many Italian restaurants and pizzerias in the area, Yorktown needs a restaurant like this. Today was my first time at Our Place Kitchen, to have a meal with a friend. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and provided excellent, attentive service!

We both ordered the BBQ Glazed Salmon, which was excellent. It had a delicious, smokey, BBQ aroma and was perfectly cooked, served on a bed of sautéed vegetables. The mustard dressing was artfully applied to the plating and was a tasty pairing to the dish.

My guest had the red velvet cake as dessert, which was very enticing. I didn't steal a bite cuz I'm watching my calories, but it definitely would be something I'd want to try on another occasion. I ordered the Root Beer Float, which was also delicious. My only disappointment was that it was, basically, a scoop of vanilla ice cream in root beer soda, served in a small glass mug. While it was as-described, I thought that the serving should have been larger, or the ice cream should have had something more "unique" about it to justify charging $13 for it. I don't mind spending the money, but...that particular choice lacked anything I couldn't quickly whip up in my kitchen with a can of A&W and some Haagen Daz Vanilla.

Nevertheless...it was, mostly, a delightful experience that would have me revisiting again in the near future! Thanks, Our Place Staff, for making our time there...

Visited this establishment with my parents on 6/25/25 for dinner. We were warmly welcomed by the hostess who kept us up to date about our table, 10-15 min wait, no problem. We were brought to our table where we met a wonderful server Adolfo who was professional. We started off with cocktails, I had Serenity Now, a beautiful cocktail of the senses, my mother had the School's Out, and my father's had the Happy Little Drink. They were all amazing. Now to the food, the starter was Elote corn dip, it was a wonderful beginning with the crispy chips, the flavors of the classic mexican street corn. Now to our entrees, my mother and I opted for the Fish and Chips, expertly cooked as the fish was succulent & the exterior was crispy as well as the chips. Delicious! My father opted for the New York Strip with horseradish cream sauce w/ mashed potatoes. He mentioned to me it was grilled perfectly to his liking. We ended the meal with fresh fruit & coffee.
