No. 1 Kitchen — Restaurant in Town of Yorktown

We (myself, wife, and son) tried the following items: Szechuan style bean curd (mildly spicy & sweet sauce), Rice and Beef (small) Curry Chicken (the owner allowed us to add vegetables instead of standard "onions" only)

Good: Fresh and excellent tasting food Reasonable pricing Very courteous & accommodating owner Decent portion size (Szechuan style bean curd dish is good enough for 2 portions)

Bad: Only 2 fortune cookies (dog ate 1 and my son ate the other one; my wife and I were left with none) :-) Only 2 serving of rice (enough for us but, may be, not enough for other customers) Sauce in Szechuan style bean curd dish has added sugar, if you are diabetic (like me), carb counting is a little hard. Been coming here for years and would have told anyone this was the best Chinese food in the area.

As of late that hasn’t been the case. The meat portions have gone down as the prices have gone up. Recently, I chalked it up to a “bad night”, but that has lasted for months and tonight was the final straw.

Even the crab Rangoon tonight was disappointing. Not only did it taste stale, but the filling was almost non-existent.

For my steamed chicken and broccoli they didn’t even include the brown sauce on the side, which has always been the default option.

For $56 my family of 4 were all left disappointed and hungry.

This was by far the worst Chinese place I’ve ever had mainly due to the rude delivery driver. I met him outside to get my food I said hello and he does not say hello he just says $10 so I gave him the money took my change and walked away. He said oh no tip then drove away i said oh your very rude that’s why you don’t get a tip and he told me to shut up. How rude! I called back to speak to a manager and no manager was there and I’ve been calling for a week and the manager is never there. I will never order from here again.
