Bought three cookies totaling 11.75 without tip. Although the cookies were on the very large size they were a vat of grease. Store clerk only placed into a paper bag with no separation of different types of cookies. The grease coated the bag within no time. The chocolate chip was not baked through. Their tipping system was very degrading because I only tipped 10% because no coffee or extra services were provided besides the girl getting the cookies out of the case. When I punched in the 10% I noticed it said ā€œgood or fairā€. This was quite shocking. Why would they even put those statements on the screen? Very disappointed all around.

The service was excellent and the bakery was quaint. We had outdoor seating on the most perfectly warm fall day. We ordered a large pizza and breadsticks totaling $40. The cheesy breadsticks were delicious, however, the Villager Pizza we ordered was an ocean of ranch - way too much for our taste. We were dunking crust and breadsticks in the pizza and there was so much more liquid to it than we had been expecting. While we would possibly go here again next time we visit Traverse City, we would definitely order a different pizza if that was the case.

Pizza by the slice only - and fun sodas! Delicious crust šŸ˜‹. We had both pizzas they offered today. Pepperoni and charcuterie slices

If you live anywhere near Traverse City, or are coming to visit, this bakery is A MUST! First off, it's on the grounds of The Commons, which is a really cool location. Then it's little stone building used to hold the old fire department, so double cool. But OMG the cookies are to die for. The Molasses was great, but the TRIPLE Chocolate???!!! Yikes, truthfully, the best chocolate cookie I've ever had. And they are huge cookies, so get a few to share the different kinds. They have phenomenal breads. Let me think, I saw amazing looking scones, a beautiful fruit tart, a delicious looking quiche....tons more. Then I noticed the sign said they also serve PIZZA!!! I need to go back to try the pizza. Any bakery that makes that good a cookie, I have to believe tosses a phenomenal pizza. This is a small business that deserves big time support. Pass the word, this bakery is the bomb. Cannot recommend enough. So sorry there's no picture, I honestly inhaled that cookie before I even thought of it. Sitting on the wooden picnic tables out front in the warm sun with that decadent treat made...

Having made a biweekly stop during the summer months for the past four years, we have enjoyed the pleasant smiles and great bread from the bakery. We have been loyal customers, going out of our way making the 3 hour round tip journey. Having said that, do not confuse this location with the downtown Pleasanton Cafe which is serviced by second rate employees. Wanting to stock up on some bread for our long journey out of state and making our last stop at the bakery for 8 months, I was lured into purchasing $40 worth of coupons on up-north live. Not only did she refuse to except the coupons which would have expired before we came back next summer, she refused to listen to our story and just insisted that the coupons are issued to encourage customers to come back using $5 of coupons at a time. Well thanks to this employee that was our last time we will ever set foot in the Cafe. Soon another new bakery will offer better customer service and we once again will make a special trip to our...
