Corner Coffee — Restaurant in Trenton

This coffee shop is an absolute delight! We try to visit local small businesses any time we can, especially on vacation. So, when we came through the area to visit Chattanooga, we stopped in for breakfast before heading home.

Inside, you'll find that this quaint shop is bright and the staff are super kind and welcoming. There is enough room inside to seat roughly two dozen people.

I forgot to take a picture of the menu, but it's still the same as what had been posted two years ago. You place your order at the counter, and then they'll call your name when it's complete. Very reasonable pricing! We all ordered meals as well as drinks, and it was under $100 with tax and everything for 7 people.

We ordered the Morning Paninis, Cheese & Spinach Quiche, latte, cold brew, as well as some other items. There is an A La Carte option and fresh pastries made daily. On Saturdays, they bake lemon/blueberry muffins with a glaze on top. We were lucky enough to snatch the last one and were told that they usually sell out quickly. Everything was delicious!

Being a parent, I must point out that not only was there a highchair available, but also a real wood changing table with a padded mat in the bathroom, instead of those cheap plastic fold out ones. My son isn't a baby anymore, but THANK YOU for doing this because so many places don't have anything at all, and it makes it difficult for us parents.

When my husband and I first visited Corner Coffee we did not know if we placed our order at the counter or if someone would come and take our order after we were seated. We stood by the counter waiting to be acknowledged, while the people behind the counter "shot the breeze" with a person who had already been served. We assumed that since we weren't being acknowledged at the counter, we were supposed to be seated, and someone would come and take our order. We sat down at a table and waited for several minutes and no one ever spoke to us or even seemed to realize we were there so we finally ended up leaving. We were completely ignored the entire time. 5 of us here from Florida decided to try this place after getting up in the morning at a hotel. The food was beyond delicious and better than any breakfast in our town by faarrr! When I ask my wife how she likes her food anywhere, it’s always “it’s ok”. She took a bite of mine before I did and she said “That is so good!!” I had the breakfast steak burrito.
