Terrible Service and mediocre food.
I am a former resident of Trinity, and had come into town for my mom's birthday. I took my family out to eat here last Saturday. The hostess was very polite, however, our waiter was the rudest server I have ever encountered. We were a party of 6, and I had even called ahead. There were only maybe 5 other customers in the restaurant. So it was a slow day. From the start, it was apparent the server was either having a bad day, hated his job, or hated us. Maybe all of the above. He seemed to be annoyed with every aspect of his job. At one point my aunt asked for a side order of tortillas as she was ordering her meal. He told her "NO. it comes with." She said she realized that, but would like extra on the side, and he refused. After we got plates, he realized he screwed up part of the order, and grabbed the plate out from under my grandmother without saying a word, she just sort of jumps back startled. He tells her "they forgot hers." So she then had to wait another 10 minutes to get her food. Any time we needed to ask him for something, he did not acknowledge or look at us in any way. It was as if he was ignoring us. He would then come back with the request, but it was quite confusing. He was also mumbling under his breath quite audibly every time he came and left the table. It made me feel extremely awkward and embarrassed, quite frankly. I will never go back to this restaurant again.
The food wasn't terrible, but certainly nothing to write home about. It was pretty bland and mediocre. Also, they are expensive considering the quality. I've had way better elsewhere for lower cost. I was expecting really great Mexican food for the price of those plates, and was let down,...
Read moreFirst time there and though it was not afternoon we had to order from the dinner menu. I had the taco salad with chicken. It was good but any time I've ordered this in other resturants I have taken half of it home and this reaturant the salad was small and not something I would recommend if you were Really hungry. My date ordered the fajitas and he was able to take half of his home. I tried it and it was also good and he had no complaints. The meat, however, was cut in thick slices instead of the way it is usually cut, thinly. The service wasn't anything to praise. We were the only one on that side of the restaurant and looked like her only table and we had to ask for her to come over to get refills on our drinks. Didn't clear the table or checked if we needed anything else. All in all I gave it a 3 star because it was a weekday and I've only been there once so I will give it the benefit of a doubt. I will try again and then decide to go lower or up...
Read moreSo Panchitos has been our favorite Mexican food in town since they opened the location on 45. We recently moved to Riverside and were excited to find out there was a location in Trinity. Unfortunately, the food is not as good quality, and the service is pretty much terrible.
Tonight we wanted to call in some queso. Called several times and got a busy signal. Called the Huntsville location to make sure they were open in Trinity, they were, so we drove over there to order in person to go. At 7:30, they are OUT. OF. QUESO. Seriously? How do you run out of queso? Even more irritating that the hostess had the phone off the hook in her pocket so we had to drive over there to find out they didn't have what we wanted.
This location needs to step up their service if they don't want to lose loyal customers. We love Panchitos but this one...
