Donut Palace — Restaurant in Trotwood

I love Donut Palace donuts but when trying to call and place an order (Trotwood location, 5/1/2018 4:37pm) it was a nightmare! First I called like 3 times and the phone was neither ringing or sending me to a VM, so I just assumed it was a phone error. I persisted to call back and finally the phone rang and a young girl answered. I asked her about prices and ordering in advance she was very, very rude and seemingly trying to rush me off the phone! Because I need these donuts for a business meeting I don't have time for my order to mysteriously not be placed because the girl on the phone had an attitude. If I am not just going to run in and out to get donuts I'm not going to bother in the future , because I just can't trust they will get the job done with a pre-order by the way this went today. It is a real shame because I believe they have the best donuts in Dayton, but the lack of professionalism and will cause me to order from some place else I can trust to get...

Great doughnuts honestly, massive selection to choose from. But with there being a huge selection, one would expect some time to choose what they want. That is not what I was granted when I entered the building. I prefer to go case by case and write down what I am going to get before repeating what I wanted to the employee to save them the time of running back and forth since I usually get a large amount of doughnuts, a dozen or more. I asked the women for a moment to look and she immediately asked me again, and louder what I wanted. Before I can even get out the name of the first doughnut, she's grabbing and asking me multiple times what I want next not giving me a moment of time to think. Did not appreciate it that much honestly, feeling rushed and hurried while trying to decide still isn't very welcoming. Great...

Update: just tried donut palace again, Trotwood location 3/22/25 I got 2 cinnamon twist, 1 bowtie and a dozen donut holes...if it wasnt for the sugar on top I wouldn't even know I was eating donuts...they are bland and have absolutely no taste...Donut palace has fallen way off since the 90's I will never eat another donut from this place. To save the business they need to go back immediately and redo the recipe for their donuts...these have to be the worst donuts in the Dayton area

The donuts were stale, I called to tell them and the lady that answered told me they weren't stale they were overcooked lol...and they still sold them...
