Sharks Fish & Chicken — Restaurant in Trotwood

I recently visited Sharks Fish & Chicken at 5256 Salem Ave in Trotwood, OH, and my experience was a mix of delicious food and a somewhat unrefined atmosphere. I ordered a chicken wing dinner and a chicken sandwich dinner, and I have to say, the value for money was impressive. The chicken sandwich was piled high with mayo, lettuce, tomato, and cheese—I might have added the cheese, but either way, it was tasty and filling. Both meals came with a generous serving of fries, all for what I believe was just five dollars(chicken sandwich)!

While the food was definitely a highlight, the environment left a bit to be desired. The spot had a “ghetto” vibe and was somewhat dirty, which made it feel less inviting. I noticed that the dining area could use a good cleaning and some maintenance. However, the service was surprisingly quick for a walk-in order, which I appreciated.

The staff was friendly enough, but there was room for improvement in their professionalism and overall demeanor. I understand that the casual atmosphere contributes to the local charm, but a little more polish could go a long way.

Overall, if you’re looking for affordable, tasty chicken in a no-frills environment, Sharks Fish & Chicken might be worth a visit, just don't expect a fine...

My daughters and I stopped there to grab dinner Sunday evening. While we were in the process of ordering our food, we receive poor customer service from the young lady who had a terrible attitude!! She was aggressive speaking and very condescending. When we got home and sat down to eat dinner, we realized that there were multiple items missing from our order. I called up there to inform them of the situation I told them that my children would be coming up there to retrieve the item and I asked about customer service coupons for our next visit for which I was told that they don't do that there😒 ,I said, well, what do you do for customer satisfaction and he said nothing you just come and get your food 🙁 I said so we've been inconvenience and have to spend our time and gas to come and correct your mess up and you won't even give coupons for another visit? I then informed him that are not only what we not be coming back I will be also letting the other people who work hard for their money no not to spend it there!!!

Spend your money where you are appreciated not where you are...

Best catfish in the area. I tell everyone about this little hole in the wall . We've tried about half of the menu and like it all . I did not give a five because they do not have air conditioning sometimes . I have not been spreading the word like I did in the past about this place because I fear it could be hot in there and people will not believe me when I suggest a place is good . Just want this place to be Tip Top because I love the food!! It's close to home and worth spreading around that they have a good menu. Please please please keep this place up, be good to the employees and encourage them to do the best for us the customer. The owners of the building need to know how much people love this place so they get that air conditioner fixed right away. this is the second summer I've noticed a serious problem with air conditioning.
